I only had a normal full hip replacement due to osteoarthritis and cartilage tear.

I don't have this feeling you're describing at all (4 weeks post op)

However I received strict instructions both in the booklets abd verbally from my physio that I shouldn't be lying on either side for at least 6 weeks and then only on the operated side until 3 months post op as otherwise the hip crosses down past the midway point and it puts too much pressure on it.

I don't think it normal to feel like its normal to feel like your hip bone is going to push through your skin.Did you have an anterior hip replacement .Sounds like you should get an X-Ray to make sure it's ok

I didn't have a hip replacement, I shattered the cup the hip bone fits into, it's being held together with 2 plates and 5 screws, and i was explains it feels like that "feels like there's a lump on concrete" "feels like I'm sitting on a golf ball" "it feels like my repaired hip is to big for my body" I couldn't think of a good way to explain I'm so sorry rolleyes I didn't meant pushing threw my skin, I shouldn't have worded it like that. "It's just pressure when sitting, laying, and sometimes when I stand on my other leg and let me left leg "left is my damaged hip" it just feels odd I just don't know how to explain it exactly. It must just be really sensitive aswell as they did cut a 14 inch incision rolleyes
