How many men do you know called Jacqueline ?????

Besides ,boys and girls all have the same number of toes

So, can't quite see the gender angle.

       J Girl rolleyes

Anyone can use any name on internet lol Plus Jacqueline could have been name of your bitch (female pet dog) :-)

Men and woman have same number of toes but woman have better protection against Gout in general, atleas pre-menopause.

You are the only one who bothered to take part in the thread but did not answer the questions properly. Woman in general are touchy about their age.

Do we agree GoutBuster 1: 0 Jacqueline?

      :-) lol

Q  1  Not many on liners have the balls to use their own name. What say

      you to that GHOSTBUSTER

Q  2 Age ,like gender proves nothing, just proves that YOU are a nosey

      git.!!!!

Men are more prone  to gout ,because of the purin maker BEER.

you can't award yourself one upmanship marks for rubbish  rolleyes

      I

Thought I had better explain the ghostbuster label to you..

1- Yeah you must be the only jacqueline in the world, bravo. I will pass Santa your address so that he can send you some presents. Is this name and address correct?

      The Miss Jacqueline

      Planet Earth

2- You were the nosey one to come and read my thread and not be able to control and post a smart ass reply. Glad you did though lol

3- I don't think you understand Gout very well as demonstrated by some of yourposts. Let this git educate you :-)  Drinking beer is an external factor, I never drank beer for example and many woman might drink same amount of beer as men. I was talking about this-

"Before menopause, women have a much lower risk of gout than men. This may be because estrogen causes more uric acid to be excreted by the kidneys....."

Ok as you were. 2:0? lol

      Morning man with no balls..

I thought the object of starting discussions was because you were

ignorant on a subject.,It  does help if you make your Question interesting.

Yours was on a par with Boring. However, I usually respond to  something that I can equate with ,My one and only gout session ( I

now  know how to control it. )  I thought I had broken my big toe'.

and at 5 am took a taxi to  A&E  to be told I had Gout  I nearly

fell off the trolley in surprise  Was sent home with a pair of crutches

suuffered the "" No Help "" from G.P then looked into it myself, Good

result ..Never found any info about ,old menopausal women   you

must tell me the boolk title wink

You sound as though belong to the WHINGING  WUSS brigade

But I like your lateral sense of humour, at least you have got that

      right

Beer is an external object ,once you have swallowed it, it becomes

internal. unless of course you miss your mouth .Can;t quite  see that

      happening  in your case cheesygrin

Santa doesn't like it when you take the   purin out of him .

Guess you are about 6 and just finished being potty trained and think

that menopausal is a  naughty word.

Yes well researched scientific information is not found in homeopathic type of journals/books that you are into LOL

      http://www.arthritis.org/about-arthritis/types/gout/what-is-gout.php

"Gender and age: Gout is more common in men than women until around age 60. Experts believe natural estrogen protects women up to that point."

So that does not mean woman can't get it at younger age but in GENERAL they have lower chance. If you did research on Gout and never ever came across the above info then you are truly ignorant or a crap researcher.

Then again on the other thread you did not even see what blood uric acid levels managment has to do with Gout management. So I will go with bad researcher and ignorant lol

I am sure you have heard of Google and have the critical thinking to seperate mumbo jumbo sites from scientific research websites?

Btw I am actually 5years old. Just imagine how much smarter I will be when I get to your old age razz

yes it is a tad tedious to say the least

i found sulfinpyrazone worked wonders unti i couldn't get hold of it any longer and at the same time had a stent fitted which meant going on statins. The latter right royally messed everything up with steroid injections being the only relief

Now i am taking benzbromarone and a low dose of allopurinol plus no statins which seems to have calmed it down

Gone from over 20 attacks a year to 1 maybe 2, thanks to a herbal suppliment of tumeric tablets from holland and barrett.  Still taking allopurinol and when needed dicolfenec or a pain killer.  These days even a bad attack is about 50% as bad as they were.  Hope this helps.

Turmeric seems to have anti inflamatory properties....so seems to have good science behind it. Any reason you take tablets instead of mixing the turmeric powder directly in your food as spice?
