All Restrictions Lifted at 4.5 weeks post op

Hi Hippies, I've been to see the consultant and he has said all restrictions lifted (although still have to be sensible) and he will see me again in 10 months time. Came out of there carrying my one crutch I had gone with and a 'fit to work note' which means after a short few days away I will be back to work on the 6th. Will really like knowing what day it is and getting back to some normality. I feel I have been very lucky and made an amazing recovery. Hoping all you fellow hippies out there get on really well and are soon fully recovered. The having no pain is a wonderful feeling I feel as if life has been on hold for the past 11 months and wish I could turn back the clock and make the decision to have had the operation sooner.

    well done Kazzie,

I too felt great after the restrictions were lifted, but unfortunatly for me my other hip started hurting so bad my enjoment was short lived, but I'm getting the right one done this month, I'm really looking forward to getting my life back and be pain free!

My other hip has started reminding me that it exists on Thursday. So much rest lulled me into pretending it had gone away! Today my back is starting to hurt. Unfortunately I have arthritis in a few places...

Same here, I have it in my back, but I don't think it's that bad, it's just the extra strain on in from walking with a crutch and the othwer hip being so sore, it tends to more strain on your back, hope you get everything sorted soon,

      Lynne.
