All these recipes I see for detox way too difficult

Posted , 7 users are following.

I was looking online for things to help my hangover in some of the recipes and just ridiculous I could barely even peel an egg this morning.

My diet for tonight will be one banana and saltines. Cold turkey detoxing is the worst and I'm aware of the dangers of it which makes it even more scary

Be careful, Misssy, don't take any risks.....you know the dangers, so beware.  I feel worried for you.

Thank you Patricia...I'm taking this chance..cause I am a little better condition than the last time I went in hospital...They did keep me 5 days that time (unusual)...our hospitals want you in and OUT.

I had drank 27 days in a row that time without food...needed many ivs...and supervision.

I also do have benzo's and some vitamins I forced myself to take today.

Hi. I couldn't eat anything yesterday. Have had 4 crackers, a breakfast bar and an apple this evening. Literally forced myself and loads of water. Do feel better for it now x

Paper...my menu today was 5 crackers and a hard boiled egg, Gatorade and some water. Nothing is going down...Mouth tastes funny.  Did you drink at all today?  I didn't...AND I ALSO KNOW DAY 2 is just as bad as DAY 1.  Not looking forward to it at all.

Ok good night.  I was only able to taper 1 time.  The rest of the time...I always messed it up and drank to much.

Tapering would be GREAT for me right now...I'm dying.

Yes, the smell of my favorite foods make me sick right now too.

I can only manage chicken broth.

Going outside? What is that? LOL.  Haven't done that in over a week.

I can't take shower...I'm begging myself to force myself to get in the shower...as I know it will make me feel a little bit better.

Don't think as Christmas as being tough...think of it being joyful and worth being sober for.  I'm the same...Day 2...can't even think about drinking...that is my ONLY improvement from Day 1....

Yeah, but if you take a shower, the room starts to spin when you close your eyes to wash the shampoo in your hair.

Erm, because we are an addict and the system lets us down. I bet if I had a heroin problem, there would be plenty of support.

Time and time again, the feedback here, is that the agencies given over to sorting this are woefully inadequate and have two gears, slow and reverse.

I think I do it always thinking I just WONT get carried away..I'm always so wrong . I'm on Day 2 as well.. Feel different agony than yesterday.. Nauseous.. Muscles aches..head fog really want this behind me I can only do cold turkey.. Cause I've tried tapering..which is its own torture...but agree its probably less and withdrawal or not gradual.

      More gradual

Tapering is not easy, but cold turkey is hell.
