Amlodipine

my husband has been takin Amlodopine for the past 6 weeks, he is now suffering with very hot knees.  Could this be a side effect of this drug?

    I have just got back from the doctors and she was quite happy to change the Amlodopine. She agrees that it was not acceptable to put up with swollen ankles and legs. I am now prescribed Lisinopril. Let's hope they are ok.

      Hi Nannylynn, thanks for your reply, glad they've sorted you out.  Our go has given my husband Losartan as well as Amlodipine, he has just taken his own bo and it is almost perfectly normal and the side effects from the Amlodipine have gone.  Just hope they don't come Baal the best with your new meds.

      Thank goodness your Dr is open minded enough to agree with you! Wish mine had. I feel prety stupid now trusting in her now as I have permanant damage from this drug.

    Hi Jan,

    So glad that your husband's symptoms from the Amlodipine have gone. Hope it stays that way. It has taken about 3 or 4 days for the swelling on my ankle to start to improve. Just need to check my BP in a couple of days.
