    Hi there,

Sleeping issues are pretty common with Fluoxetine, I've been on them for nearly 3 weeks now and I've had some issues sleeping as well. It's a common side effect that does wear off in time. I still wake up around 3:30 and then have issues drifting off again.

Hi robert its frustating I have 3 kids under 18. I got four hours of sleep last night I guess its better than nothing. So I've heard of other's people experience they also get about 4 hours out of amvien.

Yes sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and have to walk around.  The only thing that helps me is 1/2 a Xanax pill.  The Dr says the anxiety will go away eventually.

In my fifth week of Prozac insomnia now but it is maybe getting less severe.

I usually take 1/2 a Zopiclone twice. Once when I go to bed and then again when I wake up around 3am. Waiting to try Trazodone as have heard that is effective and it is non addictive too.

I’ve heard Trazadone helps people sleep through the night.

Can't wait to try it Stacey.

Think I sleep better if I have run for 40 minutes in the daytime, but have done nothing today.

Hi Dom how do you manage with your insomnia.

It's my worst side effect by far Clay. Drives me nuts. At first I needed a tonne of meds to get any sleep but needed less last night. Have ordered Trazodone my self as scared of addictive stuff like Zopiclone, but for now ...

Im taking. 5 of ativan twice a day. I was also taking it for sleep 1mg . but the doctor said ativan can cause more depression so he gave me amvien 10 mg. Which gave me about almost 5 hours of sleep. The same amount as the ativan. Im glad I dont use the ativan to sleep. Which was causing more depression.

I've been given Ativan too. It's called Lorazepam here. I didn't like the feeling on it so stopped it. My doc then gave me 2mg tablets of Diazepam instead just in case. I've used a few to relax but doc isn't clued up on Trazodone combo.

I never tried anything else but lorazepam. My doctor doesn't even mention another option.

My Dr gave me Xanax, but only wants me taking .25 every other day at most.

PS I go to sleep later now so that when I wake up it doesn't feel as early. Ridiculous solution I know smile

I seem to sleep like 12-3 or 4 or so then wake up with anxiety.  It’s not as bad as on the Zoloft though.   It seems to be changing every day though, one day ok then bad the next day.  Maybe it will level out eventually.

What dose of Prozac are you on Clay?

I am now on week 6. Sleep still terrible.

My sleep is about 12 until 3am too and that is with 1/2 a Zopiclone. Now on week 6.

Dr says hang in there.  It is a slow process.  I’m on week 7, second week on Prozac, Dr says in the next few weeks I should see major improvement, so hoping.

I had hardly any anxiety this morning Clay. As usual I woke at 3am then 6am and had a Chamomile tea. The insomnia is my biggest issue but at least I was yawning last night. I found I stopped yawning for a while. Are you on 20mg?

Yes im on 20mg of flu. And .5 ativan two times a day.
