Anal fissures are the devil incarnat
Posted , 10 users are following.
At my wits ends, almost a decade of dealing with fissure, hemroids or what ever this and two suicide attempts later. I came across Josh's post: https://patient.info/forums/discuss/i-hate-my-life-495376
I feel his pain....litterally. I'm not typing out a full length post but want people to know that fissures can kill you either by pure pain or stopping you from working..which kills insurance..which stops doctors appointments ending in a life long stent of horrible pain. I'm a 26 going on 27 y/o black man, straight, single forever, will never have a normal life, currently in pain from the fissure and head pain after banging it on a wall, just to detour my pain receptors from my anus....just for a little relief back there. help is hopeless and I'm ready to die.
thank you, bye

Hi kurt52308
We note from a recent post which you have made to our forum that you may be experiencing thoughts around self-harm. If we have misinterpreted your comments then we apologies for contacting you directly. But if you are having such thoughts then please note that you are not alone in this, and there are people out there that can help.
If you are having these suicidal thoughts then we strongly recommend you speak to someone who may be able to help. The Samaritans offer a safe space where you can talk openly about what you are going through. They can help you explore your options, understand your problems better, or just be there to listen.
Their contact details are on our patient information leaflet here: https://patient.info/health/dealing-with-suicidal-thoughts, which also offers lots of other advice on how you can access the help you may need.
If you are having such thoughts then please do reach out to the team at the Samaritans (or the other people detailed in our leaflet) who will understand what you're going through and will be able to help.
Kindest regards
Patient

Hey brother,I've had the same issues about 2 years ago...
The pain lasted for about 6 months and I can't agree more, its debilitating.
The worst part is that I had about 5 different specialist opinions and cancer was a viable possibility in their opinion.
After reading all this confessions I've realized I wasn't the only one suffering ,I know it didn't help much since I taught my pain was the worst but I came across a few useful tips which I think helped with my healing.
Till this day I follow this ritual;
squat when I go to the bathroom ( I bought a squatty potty)
I come from a very poor communist country in eastern Europe and I grew up with no modern conditions( water ,electricity ) so to go to the bathroom I had to squat on top of a hole in the ground .
Of course I'm much more fortunate now but the squat is the most natural position for that type of physiological need and nothing will change that...
Another thing I'm doing now is using baby wet wipes ( water base moisture) instead of the toilet paper.
There is a very interesting study I red about the toilet paper and apparently it's made out of very tiny pieces of recycled paper which have almost the structure of tempered glass ,shards like, with very sharp edges.
So when we wipe down ,parts of those pieces remaining in the fisure area ,creating further irritation thus never giving it a moment to start healing.
P.S.
I'm an accomplished fitness and health enthusiast, nutrition and diet have always been my number 1 priority.
I practice as I preach but still got this terrible condition so never question yourself whether you did something wrong to get that but radar focus on healing and getting over this struggle.
Best wishes

I didn't know that about toilet paper but thank you. Sorry you had to deal with those kinds of conditions. Dr's haven't been able to pin point it so I'm not sure what to do if they can't see anything. Starting to feel a bit crazy

Been there.
Eventually got relief with coconut oil. And after 18 months the pain has virtually gone.
All I can say is it WILL pass but the pain can be unbearable at times so I understand how it feels suicide is the only option.
Stick with it.

then buy GtN OINTMENT its not expensive . and take docusate on daily basis. use these things for two months straight dnt miss a single day . rub gtn ointment on anal rim in circular motions for five minutes . it will relax the sphincter.

Help is never hopeless especially from people who went through the same hell you do right now. What did the doctors do with the fissure? Did you have any operation at all? Fissures do not always go away with creams etc. My husband had been suffering for years and not only from fissures but from hemorrhoids as well. When he has an operation a few years ago for his hemorrhoids they also treated the fissures with laser. He was in tremendous pain for the first month but now he has been back to normal life ever since. There were times it seemed there was no way out but believe me the problem and the pain will go away with the right treatment. Ending your life is not the solution however I do realize the immense pain you are dealing with and the feeling that you are in a dead end. We cannot help you if you don't tell us any details as if you have done any surgery etc.
