Had surgery 13 weeks ago to repair ankle fracture, my injured leg is always a different colour than my other leg, usually red or purple, anyone else have this? The swelling isn't too bad as I elevate it most of the time.

I have not heard of bone edema, does that come from not walking on it for so long?

Hello Katherine . I broken my leg and ankle in march pins plates . 8 .. am 59 . Swelling of my foot still bad can't walk but i started to walk on my toes . Am waiting for appointment for bone dent . But everything going well . It beacuse i broken that many bones over the years and a lot of my family have . Just making sure and if you're on your (change) like me , it makes you bones weaker. Walking going to take a long time . Starting physio in next couple of weeks god help me .
