For anyone that has had this surgery how long after did u start to feel back to normal and what age where you when you had it done? Also has it stopped you from doing anything? Any info is greatly appreciated

Hi, I’m 38 and had the surgery done end of March this year. I thought I would be fine after six weeks but like others on here it really did take me until week 10 to feel ok again.
It is a major operation and just need to take the advice of the medical staff and listen to your body.
I went back to work after the full 12 weeks.
I suppose everyone is different but just remember it is a major operation and a few extra weeks of rest can really help with all the internal healing. I still have some stitches remaining 😬
