Sound like anxiety but needs checking out by a doctor.  How long have you had this? Have you seen a doctor?

Unfortunately anxiety can take on so many different forms.  The more you concentrate on one particular area the worse it will become.  I know how difficult it is.  Your mind can play terrible tricks

It probably is but best to get it looked at and then at least you will be reassured.  I am not a doctor but a neurologist will make suggestions even if it is anxiety

    Hi,

Question, does the medication take away the dizzy heavy head?  I'm light headed and  24/7 and run out of air when I feel stressed.  So they gave me Alplazolam 0.5 and now they changed to Alplazolam Xr which is the same but last 12 hours instead of 6.  It does take away the heavy breathing but not doing much for the light headed.  The light headed started after I stopped taking Lyrika/Gabapentin for nerve damage which for some reason I no longer need after 4 months. I took Citalapran as well but had side effects so they stopped.

It does sound like anxiety, and if your doc says so too then I'd say it's a safe bet. The problem with health anxiety (which I suffer too) is that seeking a lot of additional medical reassurance doesn't actually give us any relief, we then.just move on to.something else,I know that's what I do. All I can say is once the root anxiety is dealt with, this symptom is also, whatever method be it meds or therapy.  Its a horrible thing to go through,I am going through health and at the moment too,it's unbearable

The focus of my health anxiety is different, for me I fixate on things like swallowing etc and worrying I have other life threatening things. A doctor will not.encourage our obsessions, if we are not symptomatic of a condition then they will not send.is for tests. To be honest they are right to do this, we are not symptomatic of the things we imagine we have, the reassurance would just change our focus to another imagined problem.  Also health anxiety is a very very common effect of anxiety, so doctors know that the real.issue is the anxiety in general and not our current fixation. Its a terrible thing to deal with, but if you can change your focus to the anxiety itself and not the health side, things can get better
