i have got axiety back had it many years ago whent doctors monday he gave me citalopram 10 mg put iam scared to take them reading all side affects they say it gets worse before it gets better realy this is a nightmare can not sleep at nights any advice

    Hi Keith

    What were you on before? Most of these kind of tablets do have side effects. Once they start to get into your system 1 to 3 weeks they are not as noticeable. It's worth it in long run to have no anxiety. Let me know how it goes.

    Hi Keith, i had sleep anxiety and was hardly sleeping at all thats why i went on citalopram.  I did get some side effects but compared to not sleeping they were bearable. just made me very sleepy, hot sweats, bit shaky but i started sleeping right through the night after taking them for 5 nights which was such a releif.

    I've been on them coming up to 6 mnths now and still sleeping well.

    I would say no but that's just my experience. Are you seeing a Psychiatrist?
