    hey man

I know how you feel. I’ve been in the same position.  Feeling so strange like I’m completely out of control, to the point where I feel like I’m not in control of my facial muscles or something.  And the worse thing is, this is how I feel around other people.  It’s social anxiety and it sucks.  The last five years have been the hardest for me.  but just recently I decided to go on anti-depressants again and they have helped me get control again.  And because im now more control of myself I’m able to go out and make changes to my life that need to be made.  I also recommend mediation on a daily basis.  I think the combination of anti-depressants and meditation have given me the best results.  And I’m hoping later on when I feel in a better position in life, I can ween myself off the pills.

    hope this helps

Thanks it helps alot to know im not alone and i probably need medication as well but im scared of the side effects how did you over come all the side effects?

The side effects haven't been to bad.  the only side effect that really effected me was i started sweating a whole lot, especially while i was asleep.  But i kept in contact with my doctor let him know what was happening and he put me onto a similar medication and the sweating dissappeared.  so really the side effects have been minimal.  what you do have to realise though is that it takes a while for the medications effects to kick in as well.  make sure to take the medication regularly and just keep in contact with your doctor let them know how your getting on.

Its important to know it may take a bit of time but eventually things will get better.  i was at the point where i thought nothing was going to work and i was basically screwed, i was about to give up.  But i decided to give medication a go again and it's made a huge difference.  I'm a lot better around people and generally im functioning better in life.  i find it's helping a lot with my meditation too, it's helping with my concentration.  so i think with the extra boost that the medication provides i'll be able to get on top of things.

I don't normally write on forums, but I had to share my experience with everyone,

I have suffered with anxiety and depression since last years in school,

I always wondered why I felt like crap all the time and was always feeling anxious,

So as I got older I researched what can affect anxiety and depression, so I tried changing my diet and exercising more, I avoided foods, like dairy and gluten, and tried eating foods like fruit and vegetable, only drinking water aswell,

I will admit I did start to feel better

But for years I have always felt worse after eating foods, so I talked to my gp for test in which they can do,

I was diagnosed with Divertuculosis on the colon and barretts disease on my gullet, throat,

So I explained to them that I was still having problems after eating I felt like crap when I did, (depression and anxiety)

but the NHS, said they couldn't test me anymore,

so I went to a private hospital in leeds, that do a procedure called capsule endoscopy, where a capsule with a camera takes pictures of your bowel,

    I got the results back

I have two ulcers and chrones disease, so I thought all this time is that what was causing me to feel like crap after eating,

I am currently taking steroids to help, which I'll admit, isn't, so the next step is surgery to remove, the bad tissue which is causing me problems after eating, I will post again after having the surgery on how I feel,

But in all honesty my diet was causing me depression and anxiety, hope this helps anyone suffering from the same 👌👌

I live in a similar place I've had severe anxiety and depression to the point of having physical symptoms like shortness of breath dizziness etc. I have really bad problems with disassociation as well, nothing feels real some days. I know I'm not being up beat but sometimes it's good to know you aren't alone in how you feel.

Very similar story to me, just to rule it out have you had you blood sugar checked. unfortunately learned recently that hyperglycemia or whatever one it is for low sugar can feel very much like panic starting....so when that happened I was suffering with 2 things for the price of 1 !

There are ways to get rid of anxiety. Although there are different methods, you may want to check what helped other people, there are a lot of inspirational stories on youtube, none of them includes psychologists or medication though (which is great). It's hard to summarise the methods here, since it's not just one thing you need to do, however as a starting point, it would be not to get upset about anxiety (or related sensations), focus on hobby, some beathing exercises and healthy lifestyle.

hi, i've been feeling like this lately. its the feeling of impending doom i get. the only thing that works is setting small achievable goals and talking myself through the attacks. why are you worried? has anything bad actually happened? its trying to retrain the brain and it's really difficult . i hope you can find some way to work through this.
