Anxiety tablets

Been started on a new anxiety tablet called "paroxetine 10mg" has anyone taken these before and what size effects and things have people had, and have they helped anyone?

    Have they tried you on a ssri? Always seems first call by doctors.

      Nope the doctor said she wanted to give me one that was more used for anxiety and gave me these, just some of the side effects where worrying me, so was hoping to find someone who had taken them before

      I've never heard of them, but looking for an alternative to citalopram. I hope they work for you .

      I wish my p Dr would try something else with me. Diazapam just makes me sleepy and low . Pregabalin was not nice. I think all anti anxiety meds will cause u to feel sleepy but you don't know till you try. My anxiety is awful I'm dizzy all the time 😢. I hope these work for u x

      Gonna get my doctor to phone me, explain them alittle more side effects are worrying me alittle don't wanna gain any weight or things like that

      Why don't you contact your doctor ask for them to be changed, I was on a homeopathic one before if that's what they're called and I never felt it worked, all I had to do was phone and they changed them, gotta be worth a shot if you aren't feeling any better

    Hi. I'm on seroxat/paroxatine 50mg but started on 10. It is one of the ssri drugs.It works but I had side effects of feeling dizzy for a couple of weeks or so. It doesn't make you put on weight. Worth preserving with it. Good luck.

      Was u tired ? Iv upped my sert to 150mg (they start and go up in 50s) and I'm dizzy and sleepy. My eyes are soooo heavy

      I worry about feeling dizzy because I've passed out before and broke my leg, so am scared I go dizzy😕

      Just scared to start them because I worry about going dizzy, because I passed out before and broke my leg, so it scars me I'll go dizzy and pass out on them😕, doctor said I should be okay on them and a lot of more people loose weight than put it on, the Weight isn't a big problem, but it's the dizzyness that worries me

    I'm not convinced antidepressants actually help anxiety at all, if you are happier you can still have anxiety it's a different thing. Beta blockers help with the physical aspects of anxiety. The rest is in your head. I'm struggling to decide what to do for the best. All these tablets have bad side effects and worrying about them makes the anxiety worse it's a vicious cycle!!

      My anxiety was part of pnd but I feel I'm not depressed but I'm really down about my anxiety ruining my life . Try not to worry as if u don't try Ul never know or find something to help. Diazapam settles me but I feel so dizzy and drunk on it that it's not nice either. CBT helps xx

      I'm waiting for CBT. Doctor has refused to give me diazepam says it's addictive. She gave me 2mg tablets to have a MRI scan but I'm scared to take them what happens to you?

      2mg is tiny Ul be fine! I was given 10mg and take half a tab. It does settle you it will stop u from panic . My anxiety makes me very dizzy where I feel il pass out x
