Any one had a Dexa scan that showed improvement in bone density from the previous Dexa Scan?

What medication had you been taking prior to this improvement please?

Appreciative of replies.

Okay, so to reply again.  I, without thinking, included the name of the company who's supplements I used one year where I saw an increase, and that post was deleted.  If anyone is interested in knowing about those supplements, private message me.  I only used them consistently for one year, because they were a liquid, and for some reason I got to where I wasn't taking them.  Other than that, the only other year I've had an increase was when using Forteo injections.

See what I mean - you can say the name of a patent medicine, but nothing else!  Bizarro!

Sorry.  One forgets.  Did not mean to be rude.  Just feeling really frustrated because I honestly didn't think I'd said anything - only one can't see what one just sent off, so how can one ever know what the offending word was so that it can be avoided in future?  Putting this in public, as your scolding to me is, so that people know I am contrite. I love this site and I am sorry.

Hi, Yes I had a dexa scan today and there is a marked improvement from the one I had done about 18months ago as I found out I had a benign tumor on my parathyroid and had it removed 4 weeks ago this tumor was causing the calcium to be taken from my bones and now I have had the op calcium is returning to my bones and making them stronger, I hope this helps you.

You could post this information in a new post. It is encouraging news for anyone looking for information about this condition. It would be a shame to have it lost in an old post. 😃

Not sure who replied to this after 5 years, but I did have a 2nd dexa scan mentioned on page 4 of this post 😃

No further dexa scans since that time.

Hope all have been staying well.

    Best wishes V2
