Anyone else had a Bartholin Cyst removed with C02 laser

I finally found a doctor in LA using C02 laser to drain cyst and remove cyst wall. Just had it done two days ago. According to medical studies online, this is the procedure that has the lowest reoccurance rate of Bartholin Cysts. Any other women out there had it done and care to weigh in on results?

i got the laser surgery done with dr ghozland a year ago. overall it was the only procedure that was actually worked. (i got marzipulations, etc in the past and they all failed)
overall, i would recommend the laser treatment 😃 it has pretty good results compared to all the other classical surgical procedures.
i notice though that the bump where my cyst was is still sort of there. some days it feels bigger or more puffed up then usual.. it freaks me out because i get paranoid that my cyst is coming back . is there anyone out there whose gotten the laser treatment who has the same issue?

Background: 25 years old, have had a never-infected cyst since early 2017, so over 3 years now, almost constantly (home remedies, you name it, I've tried it, no change; had the basic incision and drainage with no catheter, it promptly came back)
I had this procedure done with Dr Ghozland when I was living in LA in November of 2019. At the time he told me he had done about 150 of these procedures and only 2 or 3 recurrences, which were then successfully treated with a second laser procedure (which he offers for free within one year of first treatment). Very unfortunately for me, it came back for me and has been here since. Very disheartened. Spent $2,500 on this and now I can’t even go back for the second free procedure because I no longer live in the area. Was told it would be straightforward for me since it wasn’t infected, but I guess at the end of the day this procedure still doesn't get to the root cause. I've heard many have had great results though. And the doctor and staff were all great and caring but I guess I was just one of the unlucky ones 😢

hi ladies! i had the C02 treatment a couple days ago. i just want to clarify that the gland is not destroyed with this laser. it turned out i did not have a bartholin cyst but a labia cyst. Dr. Ghozland is a lovely man. Healing is not necessarily a breeze but its not the worst thing in the world either! Accepting all prayers for speedy recovery! 😃 DM me with any questions and I’ll try to get to them. much love!

Hi! thanks a lot for all your comments, I it very helpful. I read in your comments that after the CO2 surgery, the small grape did not "deflate", did it get better? I would appreciate to know about your experience, any scar, pain? esthetically? thanks a lot for sharing the information, I have a bartholin cyst since 8 months now and my gyn said I will need a surgery. it is ruining my mood and I'm very anxious of undergoing an invasive surgery!! any help and recommendations, it will be very helpful.
best

I also had treatment in LA with Dr. Ghozland. I've had the cysts on both sides now and have had both treated in the span of a year. The first one was my right side, and before I knew about the treatment it would keep turning into an abcess once or twice a year and it was so painful and annoying. I'm in Colorado but i heard about Dr. Ghozland through his podcast and flew over to LA as soon as the cyst recurred. He was able to get me in pretty quick and the procedure was minimally painful. The recovery is pretty minor also and I was still able to walk immediately after the surgery. Then i got it on the left side a few months later and now im getting it on my right side again. I'm hopeful that a second time will keep it from coming back though, based on the studies I've read. I guess mine are just really stubborn. It is a little pricey but he doesn't charge if they have to get treatment a second time. I'm glad he's providing this to people struggling with this issue. But i do hope this procedure spreads into more US health facilities in the future!
