Anyone have the Eyehance lens and can share their experience so far?

I have a Symfony lens in my right eye implanted in 2016 but I can't stand the side effects. My left eye is due up soon so I am planning to get a monofocal for distance. Saw the Eyehance is now available in North America and wondering if anyone can share their experience with it so far. I know it's a mix between a monofocal and multifocal so I want to see the side effects.
Thanks to anyone that can share from insight.
Cheers

What side effects do you see? There should be minimal side effects with eyhance. There are no rings. There should be some starburst and halos. I would expect intermediate/near vision to be less clearer than symfony so i would probably set it for -1 in both eyes and wear glasses.

I have a monofocal Tecnis ZCB00 which in theory should be even less prone to PD than Eyehence. But I'm expirencing extreme starburst, halos, glare, perhaps as severe as in case of your Symphony. So, I'd recommend to stay away from Tecnis since you already have their product in one eye that sucks. I'd try to go with the Sofport LI61AO.

There is another thread here on this lens that has quite a few responses. I have not found a good way to do a search here, and we cannot post links, so I hope you can find it by looking for a post with this title:
"Why isn’t anyone talking about Technis Eyhance?"

Bumping this one last time. I did see the other thread and just saw the most recent patient review from Eduard (thank you).

I done my cateract surgery with J&J one piece lens 6 months ago. I couldn't believed I got glares and I done renital surgery in 2019. I had power -2.25 caused me see things blurries, wavy lines and fade. People said monofolcal lens should be no side effect. I am going to replace this lens coming Friday and I selected Eyhance and I am getting worry about side effect. Keep searching...

I have Tecnis Eyhance in both eyes. I'm seeing 20/20 for distance. My vision inside 2-3 feet is not as clear as I would like but may be better than it would have been with a standard monofocal IOL. My doctor did a slight mini-mono on my right eye but I still can't read my phone consistently.

I think the goal for Tecnis Eyehance is to eventually become the monofocal replacement. Only time will tell. The goal is to have all the advantages of a monofocal, very low dysphtopsias, no light splitting, same contrast sensitivity and so forth, yet gives just the slightest boost to close vision. And I mean slight, probably not even 1 line of improvement. Again only time will tell.

In Canada they will have to make the Eyhance lens available at the same price of the current Tecnis monofocal if they expect to use it to replace the monofocal. If there are any issues at all with it, I would expect pushback from the surgeons/patients that want a pure monofocal with no trick optical side effects. Those wanting a pure monofocal will just select the AcrySof IQ lens.

I heard the cost was only 5% more. Then someone else (here) said the price was 30% more. Don't know what to believe. I've been waiting for my Provincial Health System to offer the lens (I've been told there's a good chance they will offer it sometime this year). But if the price is 30% more I don't see it happening. And I may be waiting for nothing. But I'd much rather get the surgery done for free (or close to it at least) rather than $3800. Obviously.
.
As for issues, I've heard more than one surgeon say they cannot thing of any reason they would ever choose to use the Tecnis 1 anymore rather than Eyhance. Some say, even for pilots. And I think Eyhance has already taken over the Indian market.

I guess call me a little skeptical. I recall reading one of those testimonial reports from a surgeon that was on the preferred list to get the first Vivity lenses to use. He made a similar comment. Something like "This lens is so good, that there is no longer any need for the monofocal lens..."

I had the Eyehance put in Thursday. I can't review it yet because I've been told by the doctor to give it a month. She said my vision was "objectively terrific", but we must have different criteria. The day after the surgery my vision was smeared, very blurry at all distances, but like looking through grease within ten feet, halos, blinding sparkles off chrome...and I couldn't read anything at any difference unless in a dark room with the characters separated. It's Monday now and some things are vastly improved. The smearing is minimal. The blur seems to be object and angle dependent. The "grease" is reduced to within four feet. HOWEVER, computer screens are an issue. I'm using my television as a monitor and sitting within three feet if it. I don't know if a +2.5 Rx would fix this, because only had one eye done. We are waiting for my eye to heal before next steps.

It doesn't matter what outcome particular person has, unfortunatelly.

You should wait until you are 6 weeks post surgery and then get an optometrist eye exam and an eyeglass prescription for your eye. That will tell you best where you stand, and if any adjustments are required before doing the second eye.
