i have just bought a tub of Emuaid from Amazon at £35 just wondered if anyone else has used it and if so what they thought of it, did it help with the skin fusion.

I also bought it and although initially soothing I can't say I found any great benefit as yet.

    Hi

I do not have fusion but it helps a little with the soreness but if i am honest it dosnt replace my dermovate, but works along side it.

I use Hydramol to wash down below and then apply after drying also use Dermovate about every 7-8 days just a small dab and rub well in has worked well after suffering for about 12 years with constant itching.

Whats bi carb? I have had LS for about 5 years and have recently developed it on my back and breast.

Bi carbonate soda.  Used for cleaning and used by our mothers and grandmothers also to fight infections.  Many may remember that an infection on the hand or a foot was treated by holding it in water in which a certain amount of baking soda was added.

Since I was worried about possible infection, I started to put three pinches of baking soda in a small spray bottle (the kind women use in the hospital after giving birth) and added warm water.  Today I rinse the bottom after each bathroom visit with this simple solution.  Then I apply coconut oil.  At first I couldn't believe it, but the fusions gradually melted away.  I've done this from October last year till this month of January and am as good as fusion free.

I also take a baking soda bath (1/3 cup) every other day and I follow an alkaline diet.  Only when LS shows some early signs of a flare up do I use a tiny bit of Globetasol.

I also take Omega 3 and hormone replacement - Bi-Est.  And extra vit. C and D.

      Hope this helps you wendy.

Wow thats impressive.... So Globetasol Must be like Corbatesol. Im from Canada thats what they gave me here. And I am not sure what Bi-est is but they gave me premerin cream for my bottom.

I will try your methods and see if I have any luck . I did get organic coconut oil today after reading the other posts and put it on after bathroom and that was so soothing....  So Thank u for all the tips - Ill stay in touch

I didn't do well with the Premerin.  Went to my nature path and he suggested Bi-Est hormone replacement.  I can handle this one much better.  (by the way, I'm from Canada too)

o very cool - I am in Alberta - originally from BC.... I am so glad I found this site... I was starting to feel like a freak of nature nobody has heard of this thing or has it. Very nice to have the support. What are you referring to when you say Fusing is gone? And whats demovate? And are you talking about a coconut bar soap?

Hi Wendy - my son is currently living in Beaumont playing rugby for Edmonton. I thought I was a freak too before this site. Fusing is your labia joining together. Some ladies on this site have experienced this to varying degrees. I had started to fuse because the doctor (in her infinite wisdom) took me off estrogen. Then had a go at me that I had caused it. That's when I got angry, did my own research, found this site and sacked the Gyno. I honestly think the bi carb and water is making a huge difference. I manage with my Gp and dermatologist. For the first time in years I feel there is hope to keep on top of LS symptoms. Hope your not too cold there, I'm at the opposite end of the temperature scale and sweltering in Bridbane. I think hot sweaty conditions don't help either!

As deb described already - fusing is when your labia is joined together by what looks like a web of fine threads that mass eventually.  I've had that happen - totally fused up and only a pin hole left to pass urine through.

That fusing is now gone.  And the coconut oil is like a lard.  (not coconut soap)  You buy it in various size containers.

OMG! thats sounds horrid - have never had that part... Underneath this post Pat and Jackie talk about using "their bar to wash with"... guess I should ask them.

" pat66043 »jackie770271 • 3 days agoI use it every morning and night and use their's bar to wash with. It's takes a while but am clear at the moment. Everything looks healthy. Use the dermovate about once every 8 days once at night then back to the Emuaid. I can't praise it enough."

Hi Wendy. I use the emuaid was bar. It is very gentle and doesn't cause any irritation. Emuaid cream has worked well for me but it is expensive. I have to buy a jar every other month. Am now trying the coconut oil as it's so much cheaper. My only observation so far is that doesn't last as long on the skin. The Emuaid stays put a lot longer. Will see if it works as well for me. Set

      Hi Hanny

Hope you are still reasonably free of bad times with this....

I only joined the site yesterday after finding that I'm fusing down there -the reason for recent horrid pain. Going to try the bicarb , already got the coconut oil. Thank you for the encouraging post.
