Appreciate Advice with Withdrawal

Posted , 6 users are following.

I had to look up what day it is today. Not feeling well. I’m drinking lots of water and  try to eat. Got magnesium supplement but hear at 400mg a day may be too much and can make one very ill if too much of it in the body, so I just take it every other day.  Memory issues .. think I’m around day 13 off this med.

Work tomorrow, and good thing, I’m tired of the couch!

What has worked for you? Appreciate your advice, thank you..

I use 300mg of straight mag and the most powerful one on the market and the more I take the better I feel. The only real side effect is that you will use the bathroom more. As far as I have studied and learned, it’s tough to overdose on mag. I also take and took epson salt baths. Time will heel this just hang in there. Lord touch this person and give them hope and encouragement to be free from symptoms from this nasty drug....

So tired, slept and just want to sleep more. I feel ill and believe it’s because of this drug, never felt like this before, even when I had the worst flu. Trouble walking, flu symptoms, blurred vision/leaky eyes, diarrhea, memory. Think on day 14 off the med, not sure. Will have another epsom salt bath, that felt good. Looking fwd to a better day tomorrow.

Thank you all for listening and support.

deebee77, I had the worst 6 weeks of my life. I had surg on my ankle last June that has been so difficult alot spent over 6 months just walking and pt and alot of pain. Still having problems. I swore I would never go through that again. Well comepaired to that 6 weeks I'd rather go through that again ND not the withdrawal. If I knew how to get a law suit started I'd do it in a second. Your in my prayers. Blessings

Hi deebee777 .. I’m sorry to comment next your post but I am in need of some urgent advise..

I have been taking the awful drug gabapentin for a few months now, I’m on 3 - 300mgs daily.

This drug has done sooo much damage to me mentally Its unreal! I’ve been struggling so much lately mentally to the point I felt like sectioning myself today.

I haven’t taken any in 2 days so far but I’m now reading that your not supposed to stop suddenly as it can cause very serious side effects, but I’m terrified of even taking another pill of this horrible HORRIBLE drug.

I’m not sure what to do??

Hi Tyler, I would recommend tapering very slowly. For me withdrawal is awful though everyone is different, some have little or no withdrawal. Best wishes to you.

Still feeling sick, 14 days off gabapentin I think.

I’m in Hawaii and Saturday morning we had a message flash across our phones of an incoming ballistic missile. Was a false alarm but took 38mins to let us know false alarm.

I hate this withdrawal and hope to feel better each day. And then I flashed on - dang, we’re alive! Not so bad, think we can get through it!

Stick with it, whether maintenance or abstinence, no matter. Best to all of you 😘

good morning, I went six weeks and then I decided I couldn't take it anymore and eventually I went back up to the normal dose. Although when you talk to the medical profession they say Neurontin is not addicting. I even asked my sister who's a nurse and she says it's not addicting then why is it so dangerous? And yes go very slow and don't do it without your doctor to help you. Because I was going through such horrible withdrawals I thought well I'm done. I wish you the best and keep me informed on what's going on. Blessings
