If any of you are on IG then youve seen the video of JLO celebrating her FIFTIETH birthday jamming out whipping her head around rocking out if not then im sure youll see it on tv or youtube. Im 48 with the chills everyday, dry as chalk all over yet endless vaginal mucous, head and sinus pressure everyday, vivid dreams/nightmares....the symptoms are endless crying one minute then wanting to claw someones eyes out the next minute, anxiety, not going to functions..... yada yada. I know i shouldnt judge and clearly she doesnt have your average lifestyle, I know that but yes ill admit it i was very salty watching it and wanted to launch my phone across the room haha.

Hi Susan! Hahaha! I had to reply!

When I was 49, I was taking Zumba at a pole studio. The gals all said I needed to try pole but for months, I resisted (I had old fashioned ideas about pole). Long story short, I'll be 55 next month and have not missed a pole class since! After 8 months, I had a pole installed in my home and I LOVE this exercise. Yes, it can be sexy (although sexy left me behind about 2 years ago) but I'm stronger than ever and it helps keep meno fat to a minimum. My libido has been at 0 for over 2 years, hot burning dry mouth (for 8 years now), hot flashes, night sweats, Sahara-dry vag...(just started on a cream estrogen and a vag moisturizer because I have a gentleman friend now and I want the sexy back) but none of these symptoms from hell keep me off the pole. Do I ache after class? Yes. But I figure I'd ache more if I did not exercise, and I'd look and feel awful. Try pole or some other exercise you never thought you'd do, it may surprise you! I'm going to see that film with a few gals from class...I can't wait to hear the comments! We're going to have a field day! Surprise people with what you absolutely CAN do at our age. I'm off to pole class now... ;-D
