Back for more test

Hi guys Gary here again.

I posted a little while ago explaining that I had some symtoms of COPD and that my doctor had put down to asmtha which I did suffer from mildly as a child.

I'm now 29 and all the inhalers that were prescribed Fostair,Seretide and ventolin don't really help at all.

Iv had to go back to see my GP this week and he had now referred me to see a chest specialist as my symptoms are getting progressively worse.

I'm a little more relaxed now knowing that I will get a Propa diognosis and won't be fobbed off with "it's just your asthma " lol

Anyway I hope everyone is doing well and will keep this post updated with the results with the specialist.

Take care guys 😀

good luck Gary, it does want a deeper look into, I was like that 7 years ago and they kept saying same old, but it wasn't. June

Iv had the symtoms for about 2 years now and breathing has gotten worse in that time.

But hopefully I'll get to the bottom of it very soon.

    Thank you June

I am in the same situation Gary waiting for tests to be done, when I go for my appointment with a chest Consultant at the end of this month.

A scan I had some weeks ago, showed up some sort of lung disease, hope to find out which one soon...

Good luck, and I hope they find out for you what it is once and for all.

What sort of asthma did u have?? Was it mild or severe?? for how long?? do you smoke or even used to smoke ? I think you are too young to have COPD, although there may be a possibility , Hopefully you will get better soon and their diagnosis will be spurious. Please update us with the latest investigation and diagnosis for your condition. Thanks ahead.

    Hi safia

I had mild asthma as a child but can't recall using an inhaler back then.

I was a smoker of 13 years of around 10-15 cigarettes a day but this would become more when I consumed

Alcohol and I do like a drink lol but I'm smoke free now for just over 8 months.

Iv had these symtoms for about 2 years but didn't quit smoking straight away, then my breathing got worse so I had to quit.

I hope it's nothing serious but my breathing has gotten worse even though I don't smoke anymore,so I'm hoping to specialist can help me out.

    All the best Gary
