Back pain and IBS

I've recently been diagnosed with IBS after a bad bout of what I thought was trapped wind. The symptoms listed in various articles seem to bear this diagnosis out. However, nothing much is said about back pain. My IBS spasms start with bad back pain which then spreads round the right side to the front (I think it's called the epigastrium).
It mainly starts in the evenings and can end as abruptly as it starts for no apparent reason, leaving me feeling pretty tired. Otherwise I go and lie down and it eventually eases off.
Does anyone else get this with IBS?

Serrapeptase is another similar type of enzyme linked to reducing inflammation and possibly reducing scar tissue/ dead cells of proteinaceous material. This I believe how it has got linked to reducing inflammation for back pain. This is how maggots clear dead tissue by using these proteins! Your body is full of these enzymes naturally.
Clinical randomised, controlled trials are apparently are few and far between in western medicine and show neither positive or negative results except in reducing mucus production, as in nasal infections or cystic fibrosis. Most of these studies are on Rats and I am not a rat! Bloody scientists!
However, this product in its many forms has been sold worldwide for two decades under strict licencing with no reported deaths or serious interactions, ever. Note. "Serrapeptase might decrease blood clotting. Therefore, taking serrapeptase along with medications that also slow clotting might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding."
You should take all medicines with caution but on the whole digestive enzymes arent at all dangerous in these doses. As fair number report benefits and there is no interest in the pharmaceutical industry from monetising natural plant medicines (cant patent them) you have to use your judgement in ascertaining safety. At worst you will turn into a moth or butterfly....lol
Maybe Serrapeptase and Bromelain could help IBS symptoms together but without a known cause its difficult to see the processes involved and how exactly it will help. What is causing the inflammation?
My other concern with supplements is quality of the source. Greed overtakes all other forms of ethical practices so you have to be sure that the ingredients are pure and not contain toxic substances, even if the medical studies points to it worth taking. Just check the source who makes it.
**Bigbloke. Most symptoms of ibs correlates to some anxiety symptons during bouts. Sweating, fever symptoms, dizzyness foggy thoughts and visual distress. Anxiety causes more adrenaline to be produced and with possibly addition of shallow breathing under pain, you may get these symptoms. I dont believe it causes back problems. I think here the nerve network in the gut is close enough to the back to cause sensitivity around the surrounding organs and spine. Also the trapped wind and bloating causes pressure internally. Its nothing to worry about generally, all part of ibs. i.e. you dont get foot ache do you!
Is ibs gut related and causes anxiety type of distress thus those symptons or is it anxiety related that causes the gut symptoms? What really is in our food and water anyway?
I have tried eliminating food sources individually and it doesnt have any effect at all. During a heightened episode even tap water gave me cramps.
Anyway, I have just installed a water filtration system at home that remove or reduce pathogenic cysts, parasites, harmful or unwanted chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides, VOCs, detergents, organic solvents, trihalomethanes, cloudiness, silt, sediment, nitrates, nitrites, heavy metals, flouride, chlorine, foul tastes and odours. Trace minerals are kept. I shall let you all know how I get on!

Firstly i have lower left abdominal pain (tearing pain) stabbing pain under left lower rib and i also suffer from lower back pain.I find this all very tiring and hardd to concentrate at times but hey ho, i am now going to try the probiotic capsules combined with drinking dandelion coffee as somebody has previously suggested will let you know how i get on in due cause.Thought i had cracked it a few months ago by simply chewing my food more and drinking plenty of water and taking gentle exercise, well the relief lasted for a few weeks now im back to square one.
Anybody else have any tips?

Whilst there are no clinical trials to demonstrate the effect of manual therapy (such as osteopathy or chiropractic) on IBS, there are many supportive case studies. I would say that if you are looking for a natural approach, then I would say it is worth giving osteopathy or chiropractic a go. Look for a chiropractor or osteopath who is registered with either the general chiropractic council or the general osteopathic council. Some chiropractors and osteopaths offer free appointments to discuss whether they can help you.
After the first treatment, you can feel some discomfort the next day (usually muscle soreness like after going for a workout in the gym) but stay with it for a few sessions. Usually you should have noticed some improvement in your back pain and possibly the IBS symptoms within about 4 sessions.
I have a couple of friends who have really benefitted from this type of treatment.

I suffered from IBS until a chiropractor (student) switched it off. She said it was well known in her training, best of all, I have not had those symptoms since. That was 20 years ago!

For a quick fix Meberevine 135 can help. Its trade name is Colofac and sold in chemists.
Sounds like IBS but of course get the doc to run some tests / examination to rule out anything serious.
I have tried oats, glutamine, probiotic and digestive enzymes supplements with some improvement.
Small meals but regular intervals which doesnt stress gut motability and avoids cramps.
Usually bowel movements actually stop the pain as you have found.
