Back pain and leg pain

Posted , 9 users are following.

For the past 2 years nearly ive had leg pain from my thigh to my calf, along with some wierd sensations, however it isnt weak. Everytime my boyfriend touches my lower back i get a sharp pain that makes me jump. And my back aches abit.

Obviously, google is telling me its spinal cancer or tumours. What are the chances of this as im terrified

Im really worried as it hasnt relieved itself.

    Emily,

Also might try applying hot pack to low back and cold pack to hips...hot pack to back will help with muscle tension and cold pack at hips could help with nerve inflammation. You can do both at the same time while lying on your side with a pillow between your knees.

Obviously stop if it causes increased pain.

    Again, best of luck!

P.S. Good physiotherapist will implement "massage" and manual therapy, not just exercise.

My anxiety is really bad at the moment as I saw someone on the tv who died of spinal cancer. I'm really terrified as this leg pain is still here, doesn t get better at night (spinal cancer) and it is getting a nightmare. I have no walking issues or bending or true weakness. It feels like in the shower my leg doesn t feel the water as well as the other leg.

If this isn't a slipped disc then what the he'll is it.

It could be as simple as a bone spur crushing a nerve root.  Don't make the immediate jump to The Big C...very unlikely.  Gotta rule out discs, spurs, nerve compression, stenosis and so much more before that is even considered.  MRIs can be inconclusive.  The "gold standard" spine test is a CT/Myelogram with contrast.  Displays a complete map of your spine.  Get the full imaging done plus a definitive diagnosis before jumping to conclusions and making yourself uneasy over something very improbable.

its been since June 2022 i have had the worst pain in my lumbar-lower back it radiates down both butt cheeks and continues down both the backs of my legs. It feels like someone is trying to rip my legs apart, and when I reach up to grab things up high its miserable and my legs dont feel asleep i just have pain that wont go away. Also cant walk to far cause my legs again feel like they are getting ripped apart. I have had 3 spine surgeries on my neck and i have spinal stenosis, foramina stenosis, bulging disks in the L4-5 area and ruptured discs and pinched nerves ,narrowing of the spine etc .its not my sciatic nerve they have ruled that out. I finally have an appt with the neurosurgeon tomorrow. So hopefully I get some answers.I am looking for any thoughts on it.
