Bath time.........oh dear!
Posted , 6 users are following.
Well I got some Dead Sea bath salts today and have been looking forward to having a bath.
Poured a lukewarm bath and in I go..........bliss
it was so relaxing - I felt great.
And then the problem ......... How do I get out?
had to shout on my hubby as I was well and truly stuck. I managed to get onto my knees and out that way. Was not a pretty sight.
That's what I get for being too confident.

i didn't even think of the getting out.
It hasn't put me off though.
I now have a way of getting out but I wouldn't have a bath if I was in on my own. Just in case.

Well that's it over now - another step closer on our recovery.
My scar is about 8 inches too. It's nice and straight though.
They do a remarkable job

thats good you have HRT. I hope it works for you.
Isnt everything such an effort. My hubby took myself, my dad and daughter out for some lunch today and by the time I got home I was shattered. I am going to miss my hubby when he goes back to school on Monday

Im doing reasonably well considering only a week ago I had surgery, no flushes or anything yet, been feeling a bit out of sorts today, my appetite is not back to normal yet, still having to take pain killers every 6/8 hours but it is early days.
Will let you know how I get on at the doctors with regards to my HRT next week.

Hope you didn't hurt yourself struggling to get out of the bath. He! he! good job your hubby was there otherwise it would have to be the Fire Brigade! Now that could be interesting! We have pull cords in every room in our retirement flat (one of the big reasons we moved here, in case Ian collapsed when I wasn't there!) you just call the cord and they send whatever you need! I can just see hunky firemen charging in to rescue you!
Seriously though, take care, it would be awful to damage your recovery after all you have been though.

I could not bear the fire brigade.
I would have just stayed in the bath forever ha ha
i certainly feel a bit more sore with doing more so I am going to settle down and stop it as I am genuinely afraid I hinder my recovery.
That would just be silly
thank you for your concern

I keep smiling thinking about the Fire Brigade bursting in. Glad you haven't done any damage. We all want to run before we can walk, it must mean we are all improving. I made it to Boots today which is half way round the village with Rosie, and sat on the one chair in Boots waiting for Ian's drugs, when this elderly lady came in with a stick, and you could see her look at me (I am looking the bees knees and picture of health!) so after a few minutes I offered her my seat and said "I have had my 5 mins", so she said I will be careful only to have 5 mins, so I said "no, no I am just post hysterectomy, resting between walks". Gosh then she was going to give the chair back to me bless her. I said to the assistants you need a row of chairs, they laughed and said nobody would go home then!

how bizarre I was also in boots today and took a seat. This woman asked me if I had a sore back. So told her the story. It must have been the day for us all going to Boots.
Cant believe that's 2 weeks since my op and nearly 2 weeks since yours
where has time gone

Amazing we did the same thing! We will see something on Facebook use about the young taking over the seats! Sorry I shouldn't include myself in that, I am 65 today, but this op has made me feel 30 years younger!
The time is zooming by, I start my increase to 'Week 3 - Things I can do" tomorrow. People keep asking me if I am getting bored, I have to say I am too busy doing my walking, rests and flights of stairs, he! he! it must be taking me ages because the time keeps disappearing!
Take care

Thank you so much. I have had a smashing day, hubby really spoilt me with lots of lovely tight fitting clothes, and ..... they fit. The op was the best present because everything has been put back where it should be, my stomach is flat, and I feel fantastic. I have to stop myself because I feel so fit. I know I am very very lucky having the vaginal way, recovery is much quicker.
I do hope you will soon be feeling great and happy you had your op and how good life is.
Take care

I got it from the Hysterectomy Association, it is a free download, and gives you week by week guidance of what you should be doing. Just go to the site and you will see the booklet.
Hope it helps.

How did your walk go? Yes it is a hard life, all this resting and recovering. I cannot believe how quickly the time is whizzing by.
Just started Week 3's activities, lovely to be improving week by week.
Enjoy your jig saw.
