Being re-referred to hospital

Hello girls ( and gentlemen!)
Have just gotten back from seeing my doc who is very concerned about what has been going on over the past four weeks.
She has put me up to 20mg and is re-referring me urgently to the hospital as she wants me to have further scans etc as she is concerned that something might have been overlooked.
She has also asked me to have a blood test to ascertain my 'levels' ( cannot remember what they are called at the moment) even though the past two have shown no significant rise in markers.
She will also see me in three weeks time.
She agreed that the drop from 15 to 10 was far too precipitous and that this has given rise to the problems I have been having..... BUT the 15mg are now not controlling the pain....
Didn't mean to but wept throughout the consultation.... she was lovely.... have known her a long time and she did say that I must be in severe pain to even contemplate taking steroids let alone an increased dose!
I am one of those people who have to be absolutely desperate to take anything so she actually voiced this and said she knew absolutely how dire the pain must be to see me weeping and agreeing to take 20mg
Fingers crossed hospital will see me sooner rather than later...... last year my urgent referral at the end of June resulted in me seeing the consultant at the beginning of October

You just wanted a handsome young man holding your wrist !!
I am so sorry to hear how poorly you felt but glad it was dealt with so well I am sure it was Eileen who had some sort of urinary infection ?
Ive said before as weve get PMR we are never sure if it is that or something else
Dont forget your Cranberry Juice and make sure you have lots of water as well and take you antibiotics and hopefully you will feel a lot better in a few days
I think you are like that granny we keep seeing on TV who took on the robbers at the Jewellers in Northampton with her handbag !!
Best wishes and hope you feel better today

Hope your lovely nurse reminded you that we girls have to remember to always wipe from front to back to avoid contaminating our urinary tract. Sorry to be indelicate. A better day today for you. Love BettyE

Never use any coloured toilet paper - white, white and only white.
Advice given by a Matron over 35 years ago when in Gynae ward.
Do I use white - yes all the time.
Granny Moss - take care and spoil yourself as soon as possible.

PS. Always used white paper, and wiped from front to back, and also washed every time. Beats me how anyone can get this miserable viruses ? The doctor that looked after me, when I had my babies, said: You can be too clean, and we need a bit of dirt to kick the imune system in ! ?
Another PS. One day in Norwich there was a confusion ? going on, with lots of policemans going around. I heard there had been a robbery at a shop. I stood there and watched. Then I saw a man running like mad with an armful of leather jackets ? As he run towards me, I put my foot out and he fell flat on his face, and all the jackets flew up in all directions. The police surrounded him and took him away. The ones that were watching, was like something from a TV soap !...... Love Granny Moss
