Betadine for healing an Anal Fissure, what are your thoughts?

There is a post on here of someone who have had success treating and healing his fissure using Povidone-Iodine (Betadine). I will link below the post itself.

My question is, you, patient suffering from an anal fissure, have you ever tried this therapy? Is there someone on here who can offer their experiences?

    I say give it a try, see how well this method works for you.

    Honest feed back would be great and I'm sure others would like to know. The more recent the better.
