Bipolar

Today been diagnosed with bipolar and now have to stop taking cit and start on new meds so the journey begins all over again and still off work so all in all the mountain summit is getting further away .

    Please don't look at it like that Richard.

    You've got your diagnosis and hopefully starting a new course of meds will make things a bit better in time.

    Instead of looking at the summit moving further away try seeing it as you just got another helping hand to the top.

    I can't relate to the bipolar but I do know the feeling of despair. The more you let it in the worse it gets.

    Keep climbing that mountain Richard. You're strong enough to make it.

    Curious as to what was prescribed for you because tommorow I am asking for a new medication...although I have BPD and not Bipolar...they are in the same family.

      I can't Rember missy I'm picking the new meds up Tommorow I will let you know as I have to hand old meds in before they give me new .

      ok, well thank you and good luck with them.

      Its horrible changing....but give whatever it is a couple weeks, if possible...if the symptoms aren't too disturbing.

      ​Whenever I call to change medications...they always make me wait (other medications)..been on same med for depression forever.

      Hi missy , the tablets I'm starting are called Quetiapine 50 mg to start off with hope this helps .

      What time of day are you taking these tablets? They can make some people extremely tired...I have taken them before and they knocked me out!
