Bladder issues - still unable to pee!

Hello again. I'm beginning to get really worried about being able to pee again without doing a self-cath. It's now 6 days post anterior and posterior repair surgery. I'm still generally retaining way more than I'm able to pee naturally. First thing in the morning/last thing at night are the worst. I'd really like to know if anyone else has had this problem and how long you had to self-cath for. No-one seems to be mentioning it as an issue, which makes me even more worried. Am feeling alone with this! Many thanks for any replies!

Hi, I'm 3 1/2 weeks from pelvic floor repair (rectocele and bladder sling, partial hysterectomy )had the same issue with my bladder not being able to void completely after surgery and i had to self cather too, the doctor prescribed me meds to help, apparently my pelvic floor is extremely tight and having and muscle spasm which causes me bladder and bowel issues. The doctor also gave me valum to insert down there and it's slowly improving. It was about two weeks and i am peeing naturally. Best wishes in your recovery.
