Bleeding external hemorrhoid - medical advice

I am a 19 year old male that got my first serious hemorrhoid around a month ago, there was slight bleeding when using the toilet however apart from that with ointment and care the pain subsided.
However three days ago the pain returned as bad as it was last time, yesterday I began bleeding heavily (leaving one pair of underwear ruined) and subsequently I went to my local hospital who said I should see a consultant this morning.
I did that, and he was useless, however confirming it was an external hemorrhoid that had ruptured. I have been booked for a camera in 8 weeks time and his only advice was to change everything about my lifestyle (time to give up all indulgences yay).
It has not stopped bleeding, and even walking from my local supermarket left me having to wash my anus as well as changing my underwear again.
My question is, how long will it take for the bleeding to stop, and is there anything I can do to help stop the bleeding as in my current state I don't want to leave my bed let alone face the prospect of work. I live in the UK so luckily healthcare is free, however I am open to home remedies as well.
Thank you.

come more frequent. My dr said to start taking fiber pills or drink
Metamusil. The idea getting more fiber in diet.
I notice I can get bleeding even when its not hard to go. It happens
even when the stool is s watery. Its still putting strain, gee does it start
to burn.
I have seen a gastroenterologist good start but then referreed
to a colorecrimary care doctors cant help you.
But the doctor that specifically treats hemorrhoids is a colorectal doctor/surgeon. He will examine and can inject a medicine that takes down the
inflammation and will help. Surgery down the road is an option. But
that is not something they will recommend probably at first.
But I think your condition sounds pretty serious. Because the amount
and time you are bleeding. That seems like too much.

my colorectal dr told me to get a cream called Recticare Lotion. It has the strongest ingredient to treat hemorrhoids, and it works better than any other cream like Preparation H. It costs about $29 at Walgreens. But then again the other products cost almost up to to $20.
But please see my earlier post with my experience and recommendations. I ope things get better for you. Also soak in a warm bathtub at least twice a day. Takes down the pain and inflammation, makes your butt feel better.

I am still trying but recently tested out, I took green bean soup when it swell and the pain goes away and started to shrink down. By 2nd day, it is back to a very small size but never go away. For me, as long as no pain, no blood and remain small, it will not bother me. I dont want surgery and no medicine for me as I tried meds and cream...just waste time.
So, what u need to do, is go into chinese grocery and buy green bean. Go home cook it with water until its soften. You can drink and eat it with brown sugar...or melt rock sugar. Thats it. I use pressure cooker and its fast. I drink it loyalty when it hurts. 2 big bowls the first day and it work like a charm. The costs of a small bag of green beans is around $1.4.
Best of luck.
