Blood pressure

Hello

I have my pre op on the 25 January with op booked for the 1 February. My problem will be my blood pressure. I have had it monitored by go, average blood pressure was 144/85, I am on a low dose of medication now. However even after seeing the gp today, it still not behaving. I am going to monitor it at home myself and keep records. I have calming hints from a previous op, but do you have any advice that you can share.

Thank you

Ann

    Hi!

Avoid all forms of caffeine, reduce sodium intake, drink plenty of water and eat blood pressure lowering foods ,e.g., celery, porridge. Hope you get sorted out soon. X

      Hi Elizabeth

      Op went ahead on 1/2

They had gp's letter saying my average monitor was 140/85 and I was lucky that I was the first one taken to theatre!
