Does anyone experience high bp at certain times of the day as l do?
Am on Losarten 12.5 once a day. Was on Canderstarten 4.mg but got bad side effects so came off them.
Now finding bp soars around 4pm and 10pm every single day and also bp is never very stable most of the day either. Constant headaches, worsening eyesight etc are making me feel miserable. Am also on Bisoprolol for sinus tachycardia but slowly decreasing this, with Drs permission as side effects from this are a nightmare too. I don't know which way to turn sometimes as have tried lots of bp medication and all, so far, have given me side effects l can't cope with. Anyone out there with same or similar problem who can offer a solution?

When l next go to Drs will ask about all the solutions l have been offered by everyone on here. Least am going armed with some information instead of blundering about and hoping Dr knows best.

Doctor where I used to live said if I referred every one with high BP there would be a queue from here to the hospital!.
At the time my local hospital were doing trials on the Rox Coupler I didn't apply as I had an appointment at Imperial College hoping to get on the renal denervation trial. They then said that my BP was not consistently high enough. Their examination found that that I had aortic stenosis so some good came of it as it might have not been found until too late.
I don't know how much the Rox Coupler is being used but it is a relatively cheap procedure and can be reversed if needed.

Just watched a short clip about the Rox coupler. Seems interesting and they said it's cheaper to do that than treat people who have had strokes/heart attacks.

I once had a GP who said we don't really treat BP here as if we did we would have no time for any other patients. Obviously they didn't get extra money for BP patients as they for diabetics and other conditions. He stopped me in the street one day and said that he was doing Well Man clinics and to make an appointment. I asked why he was doing them and he said that he was getting £XX for every one he saw.

My heart valve replacement would have cost £28K privately and it was not caused by BP or lifestyle just calcium forming on the valve that stopped it opening/closing properly. I asked the professor who diagnosed it how urgently I needed the operation. Within a year he said. With all the usual NHS mismanagement it was 16 months. My friend in America had his done within three weeks of diagnosis.

Well your GP has a wicked sense of humor about BP.
This "Rox Coupler" sounds like a piece of work, but I'd guess you need sky-high BP and really poor reaction to drugs, before anything like that should even be tried. Seems about one step above wrapping some duct tape around your aorta.
