Blood sugar dropping? (Gastritis,Burping, Loose stools)

So I’ve posted here before and am dealing with some of the same things and some new things. My main concern now is ehat feels like my blood sugar dropping, but I think I should describe and update my other symptoms too. To summarize about 5-6 months ago I took a couple of rounds of antibiotics for what ended up being nothing. Ever since I’ve had loose stools several times a day that have finally started to get a lot better with trying different probiotics. I only go 1-2 times a day now, sometimes completely solid BM’s. I also started getting stomach gnawing that’s worse when its empty, burping, burning feeling. Endoscopy revieled gastritis, I did like 5 tests for h pylori, all negative. The pain has slowley started to get better with rantidine 2 times daily. Anyway now it seems like if I go too long without eating(4-6 hours), I started getting really weak, shaky, like im going to faint or something, its a really scary feeling!! The only thing that makes it go away is eating. Im not sure if its my blood sugar going low or what? Ive never checked my blood sugar during one of these attacks, but I have checked other times its usually 60-70 after maybe an hour or two of not eating. This has been happening about once a week and it’s terrifying me. Some have told me that its just my gastritis making me feel like that from the excess acid. Im not so sure, does anyone know why this is happening and what has caused my gastritis if I dont have h pylori, dont drink, dont like spicy food, not a coffee drinker???

I should also mention that I have been under a tremendous amount of stress and anxiety during all of this.

    Just a few bits...

Gastritis is just a symptom.... Not a sickness on its own...

Now diagnose such a condition is extremely hard as you probably know by now...

I will try to give you my personal opinion and tips...

    1. Do not try yo over think things .. dont use dr.Google or dont try to diagnose yourself. It will drive you mad and your anxiety will sky rocket. If you not happy seak specialist.

    2. Healing gastritis can indeed take months or in some cases longer. It requires strick diet and change of lifestyle - for life... In some cases. Be prepared to give up some things..and maybe start excercise.

    3. Stres wont help but avoid it is impossible. So try to deal with it instead of dodging it.

    4. Bland diet ..bananas..blueberries and see what you can eat... How your body responds... You have totest certain foods.

Diaclaimer: this is my tips for you...some may agree some may not..

Relax....and get yourself ultrasound and complete blood test...

Liver .. gallbladder..etc must be outruled before anything. Ibs can as well cause symptoms you describing.

Now take it easy step at the time ...

Gastritis is a condition on its own.  It is inflammation of the stomach lining. It is not just a symptom.

I totally sympathize with you.  After a round of antibiotics developed the upper left knawing pain, floating stools, and blood sugar drops also.  Diabetes test clear, CT clear, MRCP clear, blood work clear (except hypoglycemia), endoscopy clear.  What tu

Accidentally hit send.  So what type of antibiotics where you on?  I was on dual spectrum type.  I think it has something to do with destroying intestinal glut flora. My suspicion is I’ve develoed severe SIBO from the antibiotics. It may be something you want to look into, as in its severe form it can case a lot of the same symptoms we are suffering from.

Hey thanks for the input, I appreciate it. It started after taking ciprofloxacin for 10 days, I think thats also a broad spectrum type. I will definitely talk to mt GI about sibo. Is there anything that helps you with the gnawing and blood sugar drops?

Eat little but often and eat blandly.  You doctor should have told you what caused your gastritis.  I would ask your doctor about that.  Strong antibiotics can irritate your stomach.

Sorry you are having so much trouble. I agree. Sounds like your blood sugar to me, too. You know your body signals better than anyone else. My sugar crashes, too, and I have to start eating something sweet, immediately. You need to check it at these times, because it 'can' kill you. If it goes too low. That is what my husband's Dr told him. Nothing to fool around with. I had to quit taking metformin, after about 3 years. My sugar just kept plunging. I had lost about 50 lbs, so I now try to control it with diet. I don't know what you take for your diabetes, or even if you 'are' diabetic. If You do, look up the long term and adverse affects on the medication and see I they match your symptoms. Doctors dont really warn is what to look for, probably because they know it will scare us. I hadn't looked mine up. I just kept having plunges and went to the Dr. My dosage was reduced, until I finally just had to stop it. Also look up side effects of other things you are using.

Nope, Im not diabetic. Or at least I dont

think I am. 5 months ago I was a healthy 23 year old. However my mom is diabetic so I might be at risk. They have done fasting blood tests and blood tests right after eating, its never been high just borderline low.  I may have accidentally taken my moms metformin medication one time, but that was an isolated incident.

Hi wes... sorry to hear about your many symptoms.

I just finished a round of h pylori triple therapy and I feel even worse than I did before.

I have loose stool everyday and I feel like I am not emptying my bowel completely. Makes me so miserable.

I have a hiatus hernia and I am starting to think that the doctors missed something.

From the replies you got I am thinking I should try taking some probiotics.

I am so tired of living such a miserable life.
