Blotchy red rash/irritated skin on penile head (lasted for over 3 moths now)?

Part of the skin on the head of my penis has become slightly red and is causing some pain/irritation.
It first appeared the day after I used a condom so I think I must have had a reaction to the latex or some other substance in the condom.
The tip of the penis became super sensitive and noticeably hurt whenever it touched my underwear.
The skin was and still is noticeably red close to and directly around the meatus. This redness gets worse and bigger after I've come out the shower or masturbated.
An hour or so after ejaculation, I get a slight burn/irritation at the very end of the urethra when I urinate and this can last for a few days before subsiding. This has put me off from masturbating as much now.
This has lasted for about 3 months now with no signs of improvement.
I saw a doctor and was prescribed timodine/hydrocortisone cream and this didn't have much effect and am slightly worried it may just make things worse so have stopped using it for now.
It almost seems as if the redness comes from within the skin rather than on the surface.
I don't think its balanitis as I haven't had that for over 12 years when I was a kid and that was with the usual smegma discharge etc, whereas this is just redness.
I've attached images to show how it looks straight after showering, which is when the redness is at its worst and the contrast between the normal skin colour and the redness can be clearly seen.

I've noticed my meatus goes really wide when I get hard and then really wide when I'm about to cum. It freaks me out but isn't really painful. Does anyone else have this?!

Posting this as a PSA because i went through a very similar situation i just got out of through trial and error, thank god...
I had a 7 month penis irritation that wouldn't get better because i read a bunch of posts on here saying not to let moisture get to it, keep it dry etc. That may be true for other problems but it was very bad advice for mine. I had a contact reaction to expired coconut oil or something else i put on it, skin got irritated, then with masturbating every couple of days the outside layer became broken and the downward spiral/cycle of irritation and not being able to heal quick enough (from activity) went on for over 6 months. I read some studies that aquaphor lets skin heal 5x faster than with nothing because moisture heals much quicker. I tried it and it made a huge difference. If you have contact/mechanical irritation don't ever put anything on it other than aquaphor or vaseline IMO. Moisturizers etc, waste of time and can annoy it. I tried everything, and anything outside of those two things can irritate it. Between aquaphor 3x a day and learning how to relieve myself by rubbing everywhere else than the irritated area on the bottom half of my head, it allowed it to A) heal without reinjury every few days and B) heal quicker with aquaphor. After just 2 weeks of weeks of this the skin healed to the point where it was solid and strong enough again and began being able to have sex every couple of days without a set back. These two things allowed me to get over the hump. So after going to personal hell and depression for 7 months and finally getting my life back, if there is one thing I can give back to this forum is to use aquaphor 2-3x a day if you have a irritation/chronic irritation, and don't ever put anything else on it. Again this solved my terrible problem , and it may or may not be applicable to you. Analyse your situation and consider trial and error..God speed!

Hi.
I have the same problem, all began 11 months ago when I stupidly went and slept with a sex worker (protected sex, unprotected oral). Biggest regret of my life, nearly committed suicide many times but that's a whole other story.
So I had a kind of tingling on the head of my penis and the same redness for a couple of weeks and then I started feeling lymph node pain/aches in armpits, groin and neck so I thought it must be an STD.
However I have had many many tests, predominantly HIV which everything is persistently negative.
I need an explanation for this because its sucking the life out of me.
I have a 4 year old daughter and I'm scared if I have HIV I could pass it to her. As you say it's more red after Bath, masturbation etc, but some days there's a mild itchy feeling.
I don't get how so many people have the same thing but it can't be explained.
Thanks

We all make mistakes in life just sadly we pay for some in bigger ways than others. I've spent 9mths trying to sort this nightmare out and have been thoroughly depressed at times but its not worth doing anything silly over. It's highly unlikely to be HIV to start and even if was anything like that not sure how you would pass to your daughter. Im not sold on the fungi argument personally. Current line of thought for me personally is HPV (which is unlikely you have tested for) or prostatitis but keep in mind everyone here may have different issues.

for about 2 weeks i have some reactionI had on alove vera or on cocount oil I had an inflamed foreskin. Last friday i was by dermatovenerologist. Diagnosis Balanopostitis.
i received Pimafucort 2xa day max 7 day it is combination of kortikosteroid and antifungal, antibakterial, antiyeast and for the night i put pripaired in the pharmacy Vaseline Jecoris.
Yesterday evebning after cleaning with water it got a little worse for me again caused by (Pimafucort) but after aplication of Vaseline jecoris was morning OK. Doctor told me i should stop if it get worse. Today is last 7 day but i havent aplicated pimafucort only cleaned with water. On monday they take me Blood, urethral swab, swab from glans penis, and something leather sample. Doctor told it can be some streptococus, it can be chlamydia,or contact dermatitis.Today i will wisit my dermatologist on 1:00 PM i will have the results. And also they plan to do some special allergy tests maybe next week it will depend on results. What my dermatologist shocked that the urologist did not prescribe me any ointment, she even asked me twice adn she has access to information from my urologist, but she asked me twice.

Hi,
results on venereal diseases, bacteria, fungi, yeasts, viruses was everything negative.Dermatologist took my smears a second time and they were also negative.
I use only Vaseline Jecoris, which they prepared for me in the pharmacy, and it heals. no burning , redness has disappeared, but I will lubricate it for at least another 4-6 months. When I pass it, I should call her and she will rewrite the electronic recipe again.I only apply it once a day at night
With these problems, it is definitely necessary to go n to dermatologist not urologist. And if you get negative results, ask your dermatologist for a prescription of Vaseline Jecoris.

what do you guys think of this ?
Streptococci viridans a form of strept
Infections commonly caused: In healthy people, these bacteria live in the mouth, gastrointestinal tract, upper respiratory tract, and the female genital tract. When they enter normally sterile body sites, they can cause disease, including infective endocarditis, pericarditis, peritonitis, orofacial odontogenic infections, dental caries, otitis media, and sinusitis.

Most of the above cause issues internally and sadly I have zero medical background. Now HPV sounds like it is out though im definitely thinking bacterial of some sort. Christ knows what seeing we all seem to sail through the standard STI checks.
