Blotchy red rash/irritated skin on penile head (lasted for over 3 moths now)?

Part of the skin on the head of my penis has become slightly red and is causing some pain/irritation.

It first appeared the day after I used a condom so I think I must have had a reaction to the latex or some other substance in the condom.

The tip of the penis became super sensitive and noticeably hurt whenever it touched my underwear.

The skin was and still is noticeably red close to and directly around the meatus. This redness gets worse and bigger after I've come out the shower or masturbated.

An hour or so after ejaculation, I get a slight burn/irritation at the very end of the urethra when I urinate and this can last for a few days before subsiding. This has put me off from masturbating as much now.

This has lasted for about 3 months now with no signs of improvement.

I saw a doctor and was prescribed timodine/hydrocortisone cream and this didn't have much effect and am slightly worried it may just make things worse so have stopped using it for now.

It almost seems as if the redness comes from within the skin rather than on the surface.

I don't think its balanitis as I haven't had that for over 12 years when I was a kid and that was with the usual smegma discharge etc, whereas this is just redness. 

I've attached images to show how it looks straight after showering, which is when the redness is at its worst and the contrast between the normal skin colour and the redness can be clearly seen.

    I've read through most all the comments. It sounds like SOMXL was one thing that worked for one person. No one else really offered anything that completely resolved this issue, other than time elapsing (years).

    If someone has found any treatment that has completely resolved this issue, please do share.

    I have similar symptoms and slightly red bumps around the corona , I have stopped masturbating , my doctor says its a condition called erythema marginatum , mine no longer hurts just feels irritated sometimes and sometimes i feel great

      Also have bad anxiety so im constantly looking at fotos and threads like this and trying my own home remedies that sometimes irritates it more, i masturbated one time really hard and injured my urethra , never use lubes, im learning alot, my urine tests show nothing bad , doc says and he says we would definetly know by now if it was a sti

      i was also told anxiety/stress/guilt could manifest this redness, though I am not convinced.

    Exact same as image shown. Negative tests for all STDs/infections/fungal etc. Has been over a year. Gets worse after hot shower. No pain, no itch.

    Redness appears to be "under the skin". Dermatoligst think its related to blood vessels. Have been researching for over a year. Starting to think it's either related to HPV, or sebaceous hyperplasia of glans

    Hi mate,

    I've got very similar symptoms, just been diagnosed with Ureaplasma Urealyticim.

    If you haven't been checked for it yet, I'd recommend it!

      I also was diagnosed recently with ureaplasma. I treated it and it helped resolve the irritation in urethra, but redness on glans remains the same.

      Still having split urine stream (urine bifurcation) and post void dribble, which is something I did not have previously.

    same thing happend with me i have done unprotected sex then my doctor suggst me hiv test and vdrl test and blood test urine test my all test comes negative but i have urine infection thn my doctor gives me 5 steriods tablets n a antifungul cream antiful cream does not give so mucb good results but oral steriods pills give good result an now all patches gone n i m okk now

      bro pls tell me which medicine you had used orally.. i too had the same prblm.. facing from many months.. pls tell your prescription.. tablets and cream
