Now that you know what it is, kick its a$$ out the door. Tired? How's your diet? Gotta eat healthy to energize your body. Protein, complex carbs. Gotta hydrate A LOT!!! You should have already started the exercise program to regain the strength in your dead quads, glutes and core...

That will definitely help generate the endorphins to perk up your mood. This should too...

If in UK, and you feel your mood is affecting you more than you feel comfortable with I would suggest you see your GP and ask to be referred for some talking therapy. It could help a lot to be able to voice some of your feelings and help you come to terms with the experience.
You are certainly not alone...but you will get through this . Take support if you need it and it will help you not to feel isolated.

Have you heard the expression there is always some one worse off then you?? If you have well it could be me. I wish I could tell you face to face what I have been thru it really stinks. What keeps me going are my son and daughter the fact even though knee surgeries hurt like hell and they take forever to heal at least the will heal and its not life threatening. You may be in a foul mood after 6 months here I am after 5 TKR's last one 2 years ago and I am having a bad day pain wise. Its a great day outside but having to start using a can again is bugging me having to be careful when I walk for fear the knee is going to give out this is not fun, putting it mildly I am very miserable. Keep things in perspective you will get better not today or tomorrow but it will get better. There will be a day when you will look back on all of this and be grateful you had this done.
