Brain fog, dizziness, vision problems, head pressure, headache PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone!

I don't know where else to go, and was hoping someone could please help me. I'll start off by saying I'm a 23 year old Caucasian female. Going on 5 months now, I have had absolutely debilitating symptoms which have hindered my daily life. I feel these symptoms every moment of every day.

It started with dizziness and a persistent brain fog. I just thought I had a bug, and tried to go on about my life. However, my symptoms have never gone away. This "brain fog" I am talking about is a feeling of complete mental confusion, I have no memory, I cannot concentrate on anything, it feels like there's a dark blanket on my brain clouding all my thoughts. I have extreme disorientation and haziness. I feel like I'm always in a dream like state.

I am constantly dizzy and feel a pulling sensation, as if I'm ready to fall over at any moment. It feels like there's air inside my head, and I'm always very lightheaded. Whenever I try to drive I feel this pulling sensation pulling me down.

Another problem I have is with my vision. I am having very blurred vision and have double vision. Everytime I look at something up close it is extremely blurry and I cannot see at all. My perception on things has completely changed. I feel like everything looks very odd and strange and I don't have the right depth perception. It's like I'm in a horrible dream like state all the time.

I have been having headaches and head pressure as well, and having horrible pains behind my eyes. The pin starts from the back of my head close to my neck and continues up my head and the sides of my temples. My eyes hurt so bad, and it feels like knives are jabbing my eyes. My head also feels extremely heavy all the time.

All these symptoms have been causing me severe anxiety, and I have been having panic attacks from them and feel like I'm dying. It is causing a strange disrespity sensation, where I feel like I'm not even here anymore and there's a detachment from myself and my body. I have had to drop all my classes at college and quit my job because these symptoms make me lay in bed all day long. I have been unable to drive for months and can barely get up to walk around. If anyone could please help me or know anything as a suggestion to try.

I have been to my general doctor, 2 ENTs, 1 neurologist, have had 2 MRIs, a hearing test, VNG, multiple blood tests, and no one knows what is wrong. I can't live like this anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated.

finally someone with some lymph issues. i have been having severe pain in my lymph node under left ear that is causing fullness in my inner ear and contributing to the pressure i feel in my head too. another chronic symptom i have is thick discharge going down the back of my throat. it's a constant drip (post nasal?) and it is causing issues with my swallow reflex aka dysphagia. Pain and pressure behind the eyes and sensations of facial tingling and transient spasms around the eyes and nose.

it's definitely some form of inflammation. no answers yet...

make an appt. with ENT they can see whether this is sinus problem or inner ear or part of the mysterious Vestibular Migraine which I addressed in other posts here. Michael Texido has a great video "more than a headache explaining Vestibular Migraines that have many strange symptoms, coming from the brain that resembles inflammation and a whole lot of other symptoms....they are learning more about that....worth researching and find out what your triggers are weather, food, anxiety etc

get an EKG and have you had an "MRI" generally a good ENT will test your "neurological function, and practice deep breathing, sounds like you have anxiety causing more symptoms....many good discussions on utube regarding dizziness..... ,anxiety does go with it for sure.

Thank you. I wish it will gone. I took antidepressant but it didnt help what i want. than i stop it. I do have anxiety. dizzy make me more anxiety. My thyroid level is little high. Hello,

I know that this was posted a long time ago. But I read this and was like wow this is how I feel every single day. This has been going on for a good 5 years. Have you gotten any relief?

  • Posted

the relief is knowing your "triggers" Mine is "vestibular migraines which you can learn a lot on utube Dr. Michael Texido "more than a migrainelots of good info there.. salt, chocolate caffeine huge triggers for me, but "barometric weather changes are my worst trigger. see if anyone in your family has migraines... when I have severe anxiety I use Lorazepam which helps with the dizziness. there are other long term meds (Pamelar or nortriptylin} which lessens the symptoms but some experience side affects. You can benefit tremendously going on Utube for "Vestibular Rehab exercises use the ones where Dr.s or Therapists coach you not just laymen. Some of the dizziness is indeed like the brain having a little "storm" which has nothing to do with the inner ear... The most competent Dr. are either the "NEURO OTTOLOGIST or OTTO NEUROLOGIST because they have much more education than reg. ENT. BUT they are hard to find. "the "Dizzy Cook" is a patient who gives wonderful foods to eat when you have this condition.....she also explains her dizziness, which you can relate.

There's a video Dr. Michael Texido about Migraines He will tell you what they are learning about "VESTIBULAR MIGRAINEfind out if anyone in your family has migraines......they are understanding more about these strange symptoms coming from the brain when you listen to his video you will understand how similar your symptoms are, to what he says. You can also go on utube to learn about " VESTIBULAR REHABILITATION exercises that can help. I am greatly helped taking 05 miligram Lorazepam which helps with your symptoms and anxiety. Our brains are very interesting and all that you describe sounds like my situation "VESTIBULAR MIGRAINE learn all about it from Doctors on line, not just laymen. Let me know what you think

I've had all of this as well. The head pressure and pain seems to be getting worse, and I get very dizzy, especially riding in a car for some reason. The pain starts on the back of my head, right side....crazy pain and pressure. And very foggy headed. I feel like I just cant think straight many times and have trouble remembering the simplest things sometimes. The only thing that has been able to stop the head pain is those migraine pills with caffeine in them. Also crazy anxiety...the pressure is just terrible and it really does make you anxious. The headaches are daily now. I've also had a multitude of other symptoms as well though, including gi issues. I've been to many doctors and they can find nothing. I've had CT Scans, MRI's etc.. I seem to have a lot of inflammations and joint pain to now. I feel my whole body...head to toe is very very inflamed. Gall bladder had to be removed, hysterectomy..now my thyroid is messed up..high bp... you name it. Recently I remember that I had been bitten by a tick and did have a round red place there for a while. I'm going to get a Lyme Test, and just wanted to mention this.... just in case anyone else was having the same symptoms with their headaches and dizziness. Good luck to us all!!

Please update if you found to test the lyme disease. or any good new.I want to hear about it. I know you write to Eise. I'm sorry if I interrupt. I want to test it too. I will ask them. I also want to remove my cyst. I just test test my H pylori yesterday and wait the result. My thyroid is mess up either.

Your symptoms definitely line up with Lyme; especially the chronic inflammation and joint pain. I also suffer from persistent lyme issues and have been diagnosed with lyme and treated with abx. When you get a Lyme test, make sure to request a Western blot. It's more accurate than the Elisa test they use to screen lyme cases. You also want to test for other tic born illnesses like babesia or bartonella. Good luck!

I was diagnosed with Lyme, but the Doc at the time was struck off by the GMC.

Its so corrupt. He was finding, therefore exposing Lyme. Im certainly not saying you all have it guys, but a lot on here will.

      Demand Western Blot
