Brain fog, dizziness, vision problems, head pressure, headache PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone!

I don't know where else to go, and was hoping someone could please help me. I'll start off by saying I'm a 23 year old Caucasian female. Going on 5 months now, I have had absolutely debilitating symptoms which have hindered my daily life. I feel these symptoms every moment of every day.

It started with dizziness and a persistent brain fog. I just thought I had a bug, and tried to go on about my life. However, my symptoms have never gone away. This "brain fog" I am talking about is a feeling of complete mental confusion, I have no memory, I cannot concentrate on anything, it feels like there's a dark blanket on my brain clouding all my thoughts. I have extreme disorientation and haziness. I feel like I'm always in a dream like state.

I am constantly dizzy and feel a pulling sensation, as if I'm ready to fall over at any moment. It feels like there's air inside my head, and I'm always very lightheaded. Whenever I try to drive I feel this pulling sensation pulling me down.

Another problem I have is with my vision. I am having very blurred vision and have double vision. Everytime I look at something up close it is extremely blurry and I cannot see at all. My perception on things has completely changed. I feel like everything looks very odd and strange and I don't have the right depth perception. It's like I'm in a horrible dream like state all the time.

I have been having headaches and head pressure as well, and having horrible pains behind my eyes. The pin starts from the back of my head close to my neck and continues up my head and the sides of my temples. My eyes hurt so bad, and it feels like knives are jabbing my eyes. My head also feels extremely heavy all the time.

All these symptoms have been causing me severe anxiety, and I have been having panic attacks from them and feel like I'm dying. It is causing a strange disrespity sensation, where I feel like I'm not even here anymore and there's a detachment from myself and my body. I have had to drop all my classes at college and quit my job because these symptoms make me lay in bed all day long. I have been unable to drive for months and can barely get up to walk around. If anyone could please help me or know anything as a suggestion to try.

I have been to my general doctor, 2 ENTs, 1 neurologist, have had 2 MRIs, a hearing test, VNG, multiple blood tests, and no one knows what is wrong. I can't live like this anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated.

-Elise

I firmly believe that most brain fog conditions and its accompanying anxieties stem from the gut. I can't eat a thing without feeling dizzy. In fact, I can I jest something and more or less instantly feel dizzy, its literally that quick. Soya, dairy, wheat, citrus, spices, vegetables all set me off. Its nasty.

what does your diet consist of ? Have you seen significant improvement in symptoms ?

When my diet is on point, and stays on point for about 6 weeks, all my symptoms disappear.

      My symptoms include.

Tintinus, Brain fog, vestibule migraines, non allergy rhinitis, IBS, dizziness. Most of these are 7/10 in terms of pain, annoyance.

My problem is that I can't seem to keep my diet on point, near on everything I eat effects one of my allergies in one form or another. Like I said, I can eat something I'm not suppose too or something I have been eating for a while and within 10 seconds feel dizzy.

So, I'm trying again to go without bad foods. I went to a nutritionist, so I'm trying to stick to her menu.

may i ask what your on-point diet typically consists of ? i am genuinely curious and would like to try it out myself.

OK, I eat the same meal every day. This menu was created from the lists of foods that the allergist gave me, after my test.

All my foods are organic, the difference is very noticeable, eggs for example I have organic free range eggs, if they are not I get instantly dizzy.

So, organic porrage in morning, followed by a 4 scoop pea - vegan - protein drink. Then I have a lush almond yoghurt. Then 3 eggs and turkey (turkey is cooked in a vegan tomato sauce with olive oil). I have 2 more turkey dinners with eggs and rice. Then rice cakes and almond butter. For a treat I have made some natural chocolate prices, dark chocolate, with rasians.

I also, twice a week have the following drink. This lowers BP, and strengthens my stomach and helps with my skin. One pint of beetroot juice, 3, sticks of celery, big handful spinach and half avocado, carrots.

sounds great. i will use this as a guideline and tweak it to my specifications. thanks.

Forgot to mention, before every big meal, in this case three turkey meals, 2 with eggs and one with rice, have a apple cider viniger shot.

This is a slow process though. Your looking at 2 to 3 months of no food triggers, or shorter for some.

I wonder fluid cause disease. but they dont give me any med. neurologist gave me gabapentin for dizzy but it does not help. have you ever have vertigo? I had 3 times in my life. now my balance off with brain fog, dizzy, cannot concentrate, blurry vision, pressure ear, eyes pain that come and go, no memory at all, do have mental confusion. I also have panic and anxiety. I feel like I am going to die.

You guys would benefit greatly from the 😄izzy Cook" who has all these symptoms too. She has a list of trigger foods and safe foods, very helpful

You can Google Alicia Wolf or The Dizzy Cook. She has a lot of information available and she is on Facebook as well.

It is! How in the world are you? We haven't spoken in some time. Hope all is well with you.

Yes all is well. Still get the occasional dizzy bout usually when tired or anxious. Never did go away 100%. How about you?

I'm about the same as well. Recovered to 90% to 95%. Had to have my gallbladder out last August and experience some issues from that. It's a strange illness we have that the medical community does not understand much about. Just have to find an inner peace with it I guess. Are you over your hip issues as well?

did removing the gall bladder help with the original symptoms ? it is one of my suspicions that my gall bladder is the issue here.

Glad to hear you are doing ok! Funny you mention your gallbladder...i have a bucket of stones in mine but they won't take it out unless I have an attack! I had an MRI to check for a bloodclot after a surgery I had and they said no clot but lots of stones. So now I'm waiting for the ball to drop! No pain yet. How has your gallbladder surgery affected you?

I had one knee replaced and was scheduled for the other one this December but I'm sure there will be a delay due to COVID.

It did help some. A doctor early on told me that he thought that my issues/symptoms were multi-factorial. I didn't understand fully what he meant but, as I have tried to resolve multiple issues over the years I have found that each has had an impact on the totality of the problems that I experienced.

It has not completely resolved all remaining issues but, I was experiencing sudden onset nausea and as a result of that I would get more severe lightheadedness. That has resolved but, I do have some ongoing GI issues from not having a gallbladder.
