I have this horrid poo smell from my mouth. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss, use Dentyl PH mouthwash, I have the best oral hygeine of anyone I know but I still have this smell. I am too embarrassed to even ask my flriends or family to tell me my breath stinks. I am becoming totally reclusive because of it. Id rather go to my GP and tell him ive got an STD. I know ive got it coz sometimes people look around and ask if ive farted, and I see people with babies smelling their nappies when I speak. It really is starting to badly affect my life but I just cant pluck up the courage ot go to my GP. How on earht can i ay \"DR, My breath smells like poo!\" Please, if anyone has any tips let me know.

My girlfriend and two kids have moved in with me. They smell fart and poop and I know is from me.
I believe my digestive is not balanced and missing something. I used the kids to my advantage to see if they smell fart. Lol
For the last month.... I drank water mixed with limes or lemons juice during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Have not heard the kids mentioned who fart or poop. I experienced with out drinking it one time during lunch and they sure mentioned.
I think i found a solution for my problem but not a cure.

Gaviscon is a chewable tablet and the other i mix in with diluted juice - don’t like the taste, so try to mask it.
The SB is quite gassy and so you may choose to take that ehen you are not in company. 🙂

In the interest of being honest, I do not suffer with what is being described here. I just have a little bit of gum disease which is causing some mild bad breath. Luckily for me this is healing.
I have read all 23 pages of this thread with fascination. Everyone here has my deepest sympathy.
There is a condition which makes people give off a strong odour through their breath and sweat etc. This will cause you to stink out a room/small space. Whilst I believe this is not the case for many of you, it is possible that a few of the posters may suffer with this. I will post an outline for you all but I recommend googling it after (since I can't post links) and seeing if you identify with the symptoms/food triggers:
Trimethylaminuria is an uncommon genetic disorder that causes a strong body odour usually described as like rotting fish, faeces or garbage.
The odour is created when the body isn't able to process trimethylamine. This is a smelly chemical that's produced in the gut, particularly when certain choline-rich foods are digested.
What are the signs and symptoms?
If you have trimethylaminuria, the chemical trimethylamine builds up in your body and you'll give off a strong odour in your sweat, urine, saliva and vaginal fluids. There are usually no other symptoms.
Some people have a strong odour all the time but, in most cases, it varies in intensity over time.
The smell usually first becomes apparent in childhood when children are weaned. This is because certain foods are responsible for the odour (see below). However, it sometimes starts in adulthood.
Some children with trimethylaminuria may only have a temporary form of the disorder that suddenly clears after months or years.
I believe people with this condition cannot smell themselves. Also, if you look at the foods listed that make the condition worse, they are similar to what a few of you are reporting. Apparently the condition is more common than first thought and can vary in degrees.
I just signed up so I could post this. And no, I am not going to tell you all to brush and floss more!!
Good luck everyone!

I have been to the dentist three times and all is clear apparently healthy gums. Also went to the doctor and they said reflux however problem still persisted on reflux medication?
Thinking it's a medical anomaly hope someone has some answers.

Others have discussed seeing a GNT doctor and it is something that I intend to do at some point, although I have other higher priority health issues to get out of the way first.

I'm an beginning to think most doctors don't know - and are not to bothered as they probably don't see it as a huge issue. I'm not hoping for much really but something has to be up to have a healthy mouth and such BB
