Thats a good idea My husband always comes in with me when I go to see a dr and vice versa, 2 ears are better than 1 it helps to have that extra support

Hi, Derek....I also have the breathing problem with anxiety, and getting in the car to go somewhere really starts it off....what I do is, summer and winter, run the air conditioner straight into my nose and breathe deep breaths...in and out...hold breath for 10 second, let it out slowly...when you feel better turn the air off if you like...I know this really helps the dizzy spells and the breathing....I hope this helps...

he should be trying to educate himself about fibro and finding out all about it. or he could refer you to apain clinic or back to the rheumatologist their options he could choose he should be trying to help you drs have a duty of care.

i use ventolin and have the car window fully open for a few seconds that helps but for me the big issue is the tightness in my chest then i get chest pain (costocondritis) and i honestly cant handle that any tips on handling that would be great x

you will have to insist that he sends you to a pain clinic dont back down. being refered to apain clinic is part of fibro treatment that along with cbt hydrotherapy and accupuncture hope you finally get some where when you see him?

Hi, Kaz:  I have been going to a pain clinic in the U S for many years...they are only treating me for my curved spine and spinal spenosis...don't think they even believe in Fibro...sad, but true...

Hi Carol I think its shocking how many countries just dont seem to recognise fibro it needs to be put out their more and drs specialists educated in it. it needs to be on the same level as MS AND ME and other conditions. Its unfair how fibro just seems to get brushed to 1 side its unbelievable. The treatment of us lack of understanding no care no compassion its just too disgusting for words. Their is a petion going to david cameron our prime minister. of which Ive signed. Our voices need to be heard we have to keep fighting to get fibro recognised and us better treatment instead of keep being brushed to one side.take care gentle hugs x

I get this to wither I'm sitting in the driver seat or passenger.. actually worse in the passenger seat because my arms are down as apposed to up on the steering wheel opening my chest...the gravity and wieght on the spine is less.  It is something I have grappled with for a while..  It is worse when I am also tired...   I get it even sitting in my chair or on the couch...  Being over tired or the onslaught of a tiring bout....
