Hey Jen x
I'm 17 in August and have had Bronchiectasis for almost 2 years now. This forum has helped me a lot and I'm sorry about what you're going through but just know we are all here to support each other.
Best wishes,

I have just been diagnosed with bronchiecstasis. I am awaiting results of my blood test and sputum at the moment and have been told that I will need to see a physiotherapist. In the mean time what is the best way to clear my airways as I don't want to wait to start dealing with it. I don't have a really bad case of this but obviously don't want it to get worse.

I was diagnosed in my 20's but actually had it since I was little. It's tough when you find out you have it and there are different levels of this condition. I used to be a hairdresser and loved my job but now I'm 49 I can't commit to doing anything work wise as I never know when the bronchiectasis is going to flare up. Last year I had 6 lots of intravenous Anti biotics and felt rough most of the time but I've had a really good year this year and that's the way it goes. Exercise is key I also take manuka honey & tumeric & black pepper herbal tablets everyday which are good for inflammation. Different things work for different people so it's a matter of trying to see what works for you. Changing jobs is tough but if you're able to work find something that suits you. There's loads of advise on this forum so hopefully you will find it helps.
Good luck
Rachel
