sounds like cluster headache. i hear they cause intense pain especially in the eye! try seeing a doctor to get something to relieve the pain.

Hey Jesss, Sounds like a neuralgia I have it bad. Headaches, pain behind your eye. You can get it from an accident, whiplash, teeth being pulled, chiropractor, feels like you were hit.Scalp is very tender, hard to brush hair or teeth. There are 2 kinds. One called occimial neuralgia and the one where your face hurts is Trigemintal neuralgia. Horrible. Living with it for 2 1/2 yrsNeed compression surgery but i hurt too much to travel to get it doneLook on youtubesounds like what you might have Let me know if any of the videos sound like you.

Hey Jess, Well you can try ibuprofen Take like 3 at a time when your bad. Since you need a prescription for anything else i hate to say that's it. Ice pack or heating pads, what you think helps the best. The ibuprofen sometimes helps as much as the prescription drugs but you can't just take one Don't be afraid to take what the full amount your bottle says. I know how bad they can get. It's really bad for me when i see zaps of light too.. Let me know when you go to the doctors.A lot of people say how they got it on that site on facebook , little accidents and some don't know how they got it, Even just having a cell phone or computer does it from looking down constantly does itIt's keeping your neck in a certain position for a while or even just turning your head. Theirs going to be a lot of people in the future getting it from looking at the screen. Keep me posted ok. I have baclafen that helps the spasms & percale for pain but they don't give you much because it's addicting. They also gave me gabapentin (sorry if spelled wrong) & an anti inflammatory Going again to a neurologist the 3rd an orthopedist for my back and shoulders on the 17th. I'll let you know what meds the doctors suggested. Pain management really just gives you meds then pushes procedures. i hope not to get one but we'll see, i can't live like this i had about 3 good days in a year.So i'll be in touch and you be K??

Hi Jess, Pain killers keep it away for day or two and it is back, I could write a lot but I'll cut it short. take vitamin B12 and B1. One each a day. if you find that this works please don't take more than 1. It worked for me after 14 years of burning head!

Just remember your not alone and your not crazy and not dying ( i sure felt like i was). And on that site the people are great. Your never a problem asking questions and always a place where people can vent Check out both kinds of neuralgia's .I think your doctor is going to send you for tests like an MRI of your brain and when i went to the er, they all came back normal. It doesn't show up on reg test, there aren't any that show it. You can do exercises.check out youtube for them lots of chiropractors are on there for that. Oh and even walking can do it if you don't hold your shoulders back and keep your head centered with your body, not hunched over. . ugh..

Thank you for responding. I was told I didnt have neuralgia. However I thought I had some type of neuralgia because of the burning pain.

Possibly Occipital neuralgia. Look it up. Ibuprofen stops the pain. See if it works for you.
800 mg, more if needed to get rid of pain. Works for me.
