Burning Mouth

Hi all

Does anybody else experience a burning, stinging sensation on the roof of their mouth and tongue. Feels like it is burnt from a hot drink.

GP told me it was reflux and treated as such with no effect. Saw a GI specialist who does not think it is reflux, just had endoscope and biopsies today but I think it is related to peri, stress, nutrition.

    Hi,

YES! I've had burning at the end of my tongue for about a year and a half. GP didn't have any ideas and didn't investigate. Friday I had an appointment with a Naturopath and she knew exactly what I was talking about and confirmed it is due to the hormonal changes. She suggested taking magnesium to help with it.

I have to say my appointment with the Naturopath was extremely validating. She was thorough and when I left I had a plan in place. She did say that I had Adrenal fatigue and leaning more towards the burnout side but felt confident we could turn things around if I committed to a holistic approach. It was wonderful to know that their was a legitimate reason for my recent roller coaster ride of emotion and discomforts. In Ontario Canada some of us have coverage through our medical plans. It doesn't cover the supplements but it does cover the appointments.

    Feeling Hopeful!! : )
