Burning sensations in both legs

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hi everyone, I have had several knee surgeries in the past year. Im still having issues. One thing I have noticed a couple months back is when I lay down in bed. My legs are in fire. They are not to the touch? It does it sometimes during the day,but mostly every night at bedtime. I get so irritated I get out of bed, strip down and turn a fan on. They are still burning. They don't tingle or nothing but any answers would be helpful. This is interrupting my sleep and are awful. Thanks Tina.

Surgery to both knees? Burns from where to where?

    • Posted

Hi cabonick, from my hip all the way down. They are hot to the touch and are on fire. It's in both my legs. I have had the patella femoral realignment , scopes and total kneecap replacement on left knee. My feet are ice cold all day. Once I go to bed from my hips to my feet are hot. I don't know what this is and it's been overlooked in spite of the great deal of pain I deal with. I just wander what it could be now? Thanks,Tina.

I have the same issues with the burning feeling of the legs

I have fibromyalgia and dr again said that there's no cure.

Hi denise, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia years ago. Is this a sudden onset of it becoming worse? I didn't think it could get any worse than it was? Geez, this disturbs me because your right. There is no cure. I use to think that Drs diagnosed people with fibromyalgia because they didn't want to rule out other things first. I had been told that I had it and there was underlying issues that layed undiagnosed for a while.I was suffering from some serious knee problems. Just wow.

Hi Tina I also have Pmr and also was diagnosed with lupus but fortunately I don't have the symptoms of lupus so that was misdiagnosed

    Hi Tina,

I have the same thing . What I found very helpful is to take a bath with epsom salt and lavender. I usually stay about thirty minutes in the bathtube. I found big relief with this . I wish good luck . Please let me know if that works.

So I called my pain specialist and he told me I need to follow up with my Primary care Dr. They said it sounds more like a vascular issue. So I don't know? I will see what she says. Ugh I'm so tired of this. I wish I had answers and could understand it. It very well could be for all i know. They did cut both my legs in half and moved them over. I just dont know why it's happening now?

    Hi Tina

I have same issue. As soon as I get horizontal, burning sensation in my toes! If I stand up, it goes away. Problem is I cannot sleep standing up. My neurologist has recommended Neupro patch which does work. The problem being it is very expensive. But at some point it becomes worth it.

Hi Richard, My pain Dr is starting me on butan pain patch. It's a 7bday patch and u ts suppose to work 24 hours a day. My insurance doesn't want to pay for it. So they are gonna try to get a preauthourizatiin or change something? Have you ever heard of butan? I'm not familiar with it and I pray that it works. Thanks,Tina
