Bursitis

Last week had my X-ray as still very sore after 9 months and achy, saw GP and booked for physio today she says it's bursitis and continue exercise and ice.  Results of X-ray after Easter.  Hope this will get sorted.  Has anyone else had it or got if so how does it come about bit fed up to be honest.. If this does not clear then what happens?  How long will it take?..no idea.

I had my first hip done with no problems last year. At 5 weeks after the second in Feb I was healing well and now find the pain shifted, and increased, to the back of my pelvis.

It's not bursitis, but suspected SI joint pain, I felt a bit fed up like you, I thought everything was going so well!

I have read so much about other hip conditions over the last few days and many of them are due to walking with a limp or a result from injury to another area. The whole of the hip/pelvis area takes the weight of the whole body so anything out of alignment can have an effect all around the hip area.

The main 'triage' for any of these conditions was rest/walking and sitting correctly/support/ice and heat packs/NSAID's/pain relief.

I hope you find some relief, Lorna, we really have been through enough already!

Hi Kate, I have at last had my X-ray results hip all good, but being referred to orthapedic and another physio as GP thinks I have tendon problem as when examined nearly hit the roof very painful.but reckons it may be a long wait eight weeks or so as they are busy ! Great I thought Nhs for you but at least have some idea it's that as well as bursitis.  So pain killers and keep plodding along.  Hope all is well with yourself and everyone else.

      regards Lorna x
