BV CURED!

I was pretty excited to come on this site to share what has cured me because i know how frustrating bv is and i am sure some of you have tried many things.
I had bv for 3 months. I am just now getting over it. I had gone to the doctors twice and have taken metronidazole and clindamycin. both intravaginal gels. Both gave me unwanted side effects and my symptoms came back after a week with both. I have also tried douching with h202 and vinegar for 5 days but it did not cure me while taking acidiphilus tablets and inserting two vaginally. It did not cure me. Little by little the itch would come back.
After a lot of research i was determined to fight this as I have seen many women have it for years and not have any solutions. Here are my findings and I am proud to say I am bv free! I take a vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily. do some research on it and test it out, i promise you wont be disappointed!

I'm a 21 year old that's been struggling on and off with recurring BV since I was 17 and it's been the most frustrating thing I've endured mentally and physically. I have tried Flagyl MANY times and the BV surely comes right back. I've also tried taking acidophillus and vaginal flora inserts --- still no win. I changed my GYN doctor to seek other advice, and I've finally seen a consistency in positive results. To cure BV, you must take an antibiotic to kill the Gardnerella bacteria, but taking just an antibiotic doesn't replenish the good bacteria and strictly acidophillus won't be enough to tackle recurring BV. The vagina has multiple different strands of bacteria, therefore combination therapy with an antibiotic (I used Tindamax) and a strong probiotic that contains 10 strands of good bacteria has CURED my BV. I've been taking the probiotic twice a day, every single day since finishing my antibiotic, and I've been 3 weeks BV free. & YES, I have had sex multiple times with my partner (using feminine wipes after) and still no BV. As a victim of BV for many years, I felt the need to share my story. I hope this is of help to someone!

Bottom line - after trying many other things these past 2 weeks (which I'll list) the Vitamin C 500mg with Rosehip - seems to have given good results after the first night. Main indicators - smell returned to normal/neutral and no itch-burn. Thank YOU!!!! (I might also mention I did this on the 5th day of my period - and have been trying to not use tampons - very challenging for a busy/active/professional urban woman!)
I also bought B Complex - 50 billion, vitamin D3 1000ui liquid in olive oil AND (on recommendation from a holistic nutritionist) Grapefruit Seed Extract (as yuk as oregano oil, but she swears by it for anti biotic purposes). I downed all of these last night - waking up 'refreshed' down there. Popped a vitamin C this am orally, with a multi vitamin and fish oil for good measure. Will repeat last night tonight for good measure and then do all of the above without the vaginal insert of vitamin C and gauge from there.
I have tried with no more than just soothing releif - symptoms have returned and smell progressively worsened this past week: no sex, sugar, processed food or alcohol, garlic clove inserted over night (yuk), eating lots of goat yogurt, tea tree oil and a high concentrated edible grade sea salt sitz bath - I also have access to a very relaxing restorative/gentle yoga class here that calms my nervous system a great deal (and writing to scan my world for emotional disturbances - more below).
I assume it is due to a combination of factors upsetting my overall balance: semen (with someone I have deep misalignment/trust issues with that produces anxiety and that I have been trying to mentally overlook to keep the peace and.... the sex!), holiday diet and excessive stress (both inflammatory), non breathable clothing (aggrivating - creates a breeding ground for bateria) - but primarily - I believe my vagina is putting her foot down on the misalignment of my intimate relationship and semen mix and mingle. What can I say except that THE BODY KNOWS (and the brain chatters) and I'm listening to when my BODY SAYS NO (even when my brain and needy heart want to ignore it.)
Good luck to all the ladies on here in getting to the root of the issue, and THANK YOU for taking the time to share your stories.
In good health and well-being.
