BV CURED!

I was pretty excited to come on this site to share what has cured me because i know how frustrating bv is and i am sure some of you have tried many things.

I had bv for 3 months. I am just now getting over it. I had gone to the doctors twice and have taken metronidazole and clindamycin. both intravaginal gels. Both gave me unwanted side effects and my symptoms came back after a week with both. I have also tried douching with h202 and vinegar for 5 days but it did not cure me while taking acidiphilus tablets and inserting two vaginally. It did not cure me. Little by little the itch would come back.

After a lot of research i was determined to fight this as I have seen many women have it for years and not have any solutions. Here are my findings and I am proud to say I am bv free! I take a vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily. do some research on it and test it out, i promise you wont be disappointed!

I've been dealing with BV (i think) for years! today I bought an over the counter yeast infection kit, it clearly says in the pamphlet, that if you have a fishy foul odor that is not a yeast infection! so I started researching online "how do I cure bacterial vaginosis at home?" I've been reading everything that you ladies are saying. So

I just need to know right now do I need to buy some vitamin C tablets and I have to take a probiotic vitamin everyday?

I'm soooo glad to find this!! I have dealing with BV for almost 6 months.. Got diagnosed by the gunk and tried flagyl, the gel, yogurt in tampons.. But as soon as I stop using it the BV comes back.. I tried inserting the Vitamin C caplets 500 mg..I was burning like crazy.. I would say for about an hour I was on fire!! I was just motivated to be finally be over with BV.. But then the next morning I was swallon down there and the discharge had the same texture and fishy odor!! I didn't insert the Vitamin C the next night.. You think I should wait a couple days and try it again! Or should I take Vitamin C orally! I also drink emergen C which is 1000 mg vitamin C

Doctors' reaction is so geniune " oh it will find its ph balance eventually" I'm so frustrated with BV now!! Want it to gone already!!

Thinking about trying Apple cider vinegar today.. I' m too scared to insert garlic clove in cheese cloth! I heard it works fast but I'm tooscaredti try that!

I really appreciate your help!! What do you suggest I should do?

    Thanks

Suuki, did you ever find any solution to your BV?

Did you stick with the Vitamin C?

The Vitamin C up there just made things worse for me... sad

You could be diagnosed by the gunk!  Lol.  I think the most important thing is diet. First and foremost, follow some of the diet recommendations on here.

What kind of diet recommendations? Any specific fruits or vegetables are more helpful than others?

      Thanks

Thank you all so much for your posts.  I recently had a GYN exam and  discovered that I had BV.  My doctor said since I did not have symptoms there was no reason to treat and that it would probably go away on its own.  Didn't really notice symptoms at first, until I had sex with my boyfriend. Noticed a strong smelly odor after we had sex.  It was alarming.  I am a neat freak so I was absolutely horrified.  I also started having discharge which was also smelly.  I remembered the BV diagnosis and started to look up information on BV.  At first I tried hydrogen peroxided Hydrogen, which might give you an instant fix.  Soaked a tampoon and used for 2 days. However, realized that it killed both good and bad bacteria.  While it did help a little,  what what really cured me was inserting 500mg of vitamin c vaginally for 5 days, along with taking vitamins and probiotics.  The first night I inserted the vitaimin C, the next morning I noticed no strong ordor and felt better.  The same day, based on recommendations on this site, I took folic acid (about 800mg), B12 (about 2000mg), high dosage of probiotics (about 40 billion capsules) and vitamin D (about 4000mg), along with my mult-vitamin.  That is what I took.  Not trying to be a doctor and prescribe anything, but that is what helped me.  By the way, I am vitamin D deficient, and heard, BV could be a contributing factor.  Used this method for about 5 days and no discharge and no strong odor.  You guys are life-savers.  I could not stand the thought of dealing with this medical problem long-term.  I will be taking my my vitamins and probiotics as part of my life-style.  Now that I am cured, I will take the recommended dosage, but initially to fight BV tried the dosages recommended on this sight.  Just a note, when I inserted the vitamin C, I had an orange tint like discharge for about 24 hours after.  I definately had to wear a liner when I inserted the pill.  When I stop inserting the vitamin C, no discharge.  No discharge and no odor.  This was effective and glad I addressed this issue the natural way.  It makes sense if you think about it.  Get rid of the bad bateria (Vitamin C tabs) and replace or fortify with good bacteria and vitamins.  Thanks again you all.  I doubt I would have gotten the information from my doctor. I never post anything, but this issue was so alarming and so horrifying to me, that I had to post something, when I got cured.  Thank you.  Hope this helps. BV is horrible and women should not have to suffer with this medical issue.

Hi are you bv free after getting rid of it with the vitamin C and taking the vitamins you listed?

Thank you for your post !  You are a life-saver.  Was diagnosed with BV. Did not have symptoms at first, but then notice smelly odor after sex with my boyfriend and smelling discharge a few day in a row.  Was horrified.  Based on the information I saw on this site, this is what worked for me.   Vitamin C vaginally for 5 days (this was did it for me).  First night I inserted the vitamin C, the next day  no odor.  There was a slight orange tint discharge, however, after I stopped inserting the vitamin C, no discharge and no order.  Probiotics (4 billion), Vitamin D (4000mg), Folic Acid (800mg), B12 (about 2000mg) and multivitamin. Did this until my BV cleared.  After took all of the above in recommended daily dosages. If I am posting this a second time, apologies.  I don't think my first post went through.  Anyway, thank you for giving me a natural cure and ridding me of this most concerning medical issue.  Women should not have to deal with this.  Thank you once again.

Highly recommend taking regular vitamin c if that is the route you want to take

Hello, so I did the vitiman C and rosehip method and it worked over night. The only problem I had Tho Is when I got up to take a shower and then went pee when I got out it burnt soo bad and was SO red down there and around it so I had to put bacitration down there so I could even put under where on. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening?

Yes you take regular vitamin c it dissolves into liquid and comes out when you pee in morning. I am getting too many of these same messages I may need to make a new message to the public about this

What about dissolving the vit C in water and douching with it? The problem is the tablet sitting against the vaginal wall, causes irritation.

I'm not one to diuche I don't believe in it it causes yeast infections and rids the good bacteria out so I wouldn't personally suggest it. It causes irritation from the rosehips. It is highly acidic so when it comes out it gives a chemical burn. If vitamin c is something you want to do take regular vitamin c without rosehips it will dissolve into a liquid over night and when you wake up it will pour out. No irritation. Consecutive use of it will cause cramps though. I would do it every other day to reduce that from happening

What goes up there must come back down at some point. It made my outer lips all puffy at some point because of all the acidity. Sorry that it burned you. At least the Vitamin C worked for you though.
