BV STRESSFUL!!!

HI GUYS!!!!! I WANTED TO SHARE MY STORY WITH YOU ALL ABOUT BV!!! I'VE BEEN SUFFERING SINCE THE AGE OF 17. I AM NOW 32. I'VE WENT THROUGH DIFFERENT DOCTORS! EMERGENCY ROOMS .. HOME REMEDIES! CHLOROPHYLL, VITAMIN C ROSEHIPS, VITAMIN D,E, ACIDOLPOLIUS PILLS, REFRESH, PERIOXIDE DOUCHE, BORIC ACID, TEA TREE OIL, DIFFERENT UNSCENTED SOAPS, YOGURT.. I MEAN YOU NAME IT! I TRIED IT! ALLLLLL OF THE ANTIBIOTICS PRESCRIBED! AND STILL NO CURE! ONLY TEMPORARY RELIEF!!! IT WAS KILLING MY CONFIDENCE.. I DIDNT LIKE BEING CLOSE TO OTHERS! THE SMELL MADE ME JUST CRYYYY BECAUSE I KNEW I WASNT DIRTY!!!!!! FINALLY I TRIED ANOTHER NEW DOCTOR AND LAID IT ALL OUT TO HIM!!!!!! IN TEARS!!!!! HE FINALLY SAID " LET ME TAKE A LOOK AND PUT SOME THINGS UNDER THE MICROSCOPE" BECAUSE OFTEN WOMEN ARE BEING TREATED FOR BV BUT HONESTLY THERE ARE DIFFERENT BACTERIA'S.. AND HE SAID I BELIEVE YOU MAY HAVE BEEN BEING TREATED FOR THE WRONG BACTERIA AND THAT IS WHY IT RETURNS!!!!! SO AFTER MY PAP SMEAR HE STATED HE WOULD HAVE HIS NURSE CALL ME IN A COUPLE OF DAYS... SO A COUPLE OF DAYS PAST AND I RECIEVED A CALL FROM THE NERVES (I WAS GOING CRAZY THE WAITING DAYS LOL) SHE SAID "YOU DONT HAVE BV... U HAVE A DIFFERENT BACTERIAL INFECTION (DONT KILL ME BUT I FORGET THE NAME OF THE INFECTION.. ILL CALL TODAY) FLAYGIL, METRO GEL AND CLIDAMISN DOESNT CURE THIS.. THATS WHY U END UP BACK TO THE SMELL AND DISCHARGE! I WAS PUT ON DOXYCYCLINE 2 TIMES A DAY! FOR 14 DAYS! AND WHEN I SAY I HAVE BEEN STINCH FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! OMG OMG!!!! AFTER THE 2ND DAY IT WAS GONE! BUT THE MEDS ADVISED U TO CONTINUE TO TAKE IT EVEN IF THE ISSUE GOES AWAY BEFORE COMPLETION OF THE MEDS!!!! I CRIED!!! BUT WASNT FULLY CONVINCED!!! THE TEST WOULD BE AFTER I FINISHED THE MEDICINE! IM PROUD TO SAY IVE BEEN OFF THE MEDS FOR A WEEK NOW!!! NO SMELL! NO DISCHARGE!!!!!! I CAN FINALLY GET MY CONFIDENCE BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!! IVE BEEN SUFFERING WITH THIS FOR YEARSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! AND IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!! MY DOCTOR SAID THAT HE MAY PUT ME ON 1 MORE ROUND BUT MAYBE ONCE A DAY HE HASNT DECIDED JUST YET! HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

    i literally have been going through the same thing since I was 17 im 36 my confidence and everything left me i didn't even wanna look at a man wondering what's wrong with my body why do i keep catching BV i finally switched doctors explained to him what was happening he brought another doctor in with him to check me now im using doxycycline monohydrate you have me excited i hope it works for me glad everything went well for you hun.

    Now that I read this, I realize that the very first time my doctor found BV it was also with mycoplasma h. and ureaplasma u. Doxy cleared it up and I didn't have mycoplasma or ureaplasma ever since but BV keeps coming back. Gardnerella PCR is positive and microscopy is suggestive. Did you have relief after the doxy treatment?

Back then I didn't know what that was. Doxy cleared it up and I didn't have mycoplasma or ureaplasma ever since but BV keeps coming back. Gardnerella PCR is positive and microscopy is suggestive. Did you have relief after the doxy treatment?

    Hi! So I'm currently going through the same thing where I was told I had BV! I've taken MetroGEL and Clindamycin Cream and nothing seemed to work. I got a pap done and this time I was tested for a certain kind of bacteria (along with the usual STDs and stuff) called Ureaplasma and it came back abnormal! My BV result came back negative and so did the STDs and Yeast Infection. So I'm thinking what the heck is going on?! Turns out, you CAN have different bacterial infections and they can produce BV-like symptoms. Ureaplasma is a bacteria that, if it grows too much, can cause an infection and the smelly discharge/vaginal itching. Clindamycin and MetroGEL DO NOT treat all types of bacteria so of course taking it will do no good because it did not treat the kind of infection I had! I just wanted to post this because she was right! You can have different bacterial infections and what the Doctors/OBGYNs prescribe may not always work because it's targeting the WRONG bacteria. So I was prescribed Doxycycline! Doxycycline treats a MUCH wider range of bacterial infections so I'm hoping this works 😬😬😬 good luck guys! Women rule!

      are you cured from bv? I am going back to my ob nxt month. I just wanted to know if you're cured. I've been suffering for 3 years and I really want to deal with this for good.

    guys you all probably have genital herpes!!

    try VALTREX (valaciclovir)

    herpes triggers the BV every month around the same time.

    herpes is really hard to find, it can be a very small wound, that dries up. and you never notice you have it
