I'm on Buspar an cit, but have been thinking of switching myself cause the cit has not done much for me then when Buspar was added I got two good days then crash again almost back to the beginning my next appt with my dr is November 4th and I'm thinking about asking to be switched to veneflaxine which I believe is the generic to Effexor? If that's the case I have been talking to a lot of people that say the mixture of Buspar and Effexor has literally saved their lives and honestly I'm so fed up with how I've been feeling I almost took my self off all meds together as atleast I'd know how I'm feeling and what was the medicine making me feel like

I am new to this forum but have seen this old thread about the combination of mirtazapine and venlafaxine

I have been taking a maintenance dose of mirtazapine for over a year to get me through some difficult times. I have recently experienced severe anxiety and my Gp gradually increased this to the highest dose with no effect. On the advice of a psych I started taking low dose of venlafaxine while reducing the mirtazapine over a period of two days. My anxiety got so much worse after just one tablet (pounding heart, trembling) that I stopped. The doctor wants me to try again after a week on lower dose mirtazapine but I am really scared. Has anyone else experienced this reaction?
