Can anyone advise me on how to put dermovate cream inside the back passage?

Having a particularly agonising week, as I seem to have sores inside as well as outside the anal area. I am using dermovate externally, but this isn't helping and I am starting to dread waking up in the morning and knowing that I have to go through another extremely painful episode in the toilet! I vaguely remember someone once mentioning that they put their cream inside, so if anyone could help me, I would be extremely grateful. I have just been through a rough time in front, which seems to b e calming down and now it has started in the back. Is there anyone else out there who has the two?

    Hi KIm,

I cannot imagine that there will come a time when I can say, like you, that I have been off the steroids for almost a month! I must be doing something horribly wrong. Do you have lichen sclerosis AND lichen planus. Perhaps this is why I suffer so much, as I have them both.

Good luck with the biopsy results and congratulations on your progress.

All the kings horses--I've just come across your conversation regarding taking zinc and Kezzo's advice on using the vitamin E oil for fissures. Did either of these help the anal trouble you were having?

I also have LS from vulva to the 'way back'. I'm not getting improvement with the Clobetasal after a month and I'm wondering about giving up on it and trying something else. I've ordered Epaderm for washing and moisturing the entire area and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I'm in the US and ordered it through Amazon.

    Thanks

    Hi Kiki,

My dermatologist wasn't at all happy with my condition last time she saw me and I am on dermovate ointment for 3 weeks, then alternate days. When things are really bad I tend to use zinc tablets, which heal cuts and fissures (for me, anyway). Someone from this forum recommended them and they definitely work for me. I pee quite a lot so use a barrier cream, which cuts down on continual washing. Zeroguent, but there are others which are probably just as good.

Love Amazon, where would we be without it!
