Can IBS really do this to me...or is it health anxiety taking over

Hi all
Is any one else experiencing a number of different complaints with IBS,
I have always had a dodgy stomach and been really loose when I go to the toilet,
After years of doctor visits I was told I have ibs.
I have now over last 12 months started getting pains every where, started with lower back pain, which now is giving me pains and discomfort in top of right leg and groin area. I have had ultrasound on stomach, number of doctor visits, urine samples, blood tests and no answers.
The weird uncomfortable feelings I get around back, side, groin and upper legs are not that painful that it stops me doing anything, Being a male 29 and a builder I have always been active, so don't want to let this stop me.
Is this something any one else experiences with ibs or health anxiety.
Any feedback will be welcomed
Thanks in advance
Take care

I have the same issue with back pain and IBS. One thing that i finds really helps me is that once a month i see an osteopath. She can usualy tell exactly how bad my IBS is at the time and where i have slighty twisted my back, in turn making my IBS worse (it sounds like they shouldnt connect but they do) she can usualy aid with the back pain but aslo works on my intestines and get my system moving again when it is painful and traped. i find this reallt eases the pain and i have gotten better far more quickly since i started this.
dont know if this could help you at all, sometimes i find medication and GPs can only do so much and alternative medicine can be just as if more more effective. Also try pepermint tea. youd be supprised how much it can help especilsay with the dodgy stomach and pains relating to it as it helps sooth your mussles so less pain. also a technique which is a l;ife saver for me personaly is to lie down and spend 20 mins minimum a day breathing into your stomach (not your chest at all) as it will help with stomach flow and ease off the pain.
i really symptise with tour sitiuation as my symptons first arrives 2 years ago and it took me 9 months to find medication that helps and meet my osteopath and even then it took me a year to get to a place where it wasnt affecting my day to day life, but even now if i eat too much gluten, lactose or get extreemly stressed i flare up and it can take weeks to get sorted again. Put dont let it affect you, the more stressed you get about it the worse it will get (not that its easy at all) but persevere through and look at non medical solutions as well as medical ones.
hope this helps at all.
