Can't cope with this forum any more

Posted , 16 users are following.

Lest anyone think I've been ignoring them, no I haven't. I just don't have time to manage the notifications list any more with this new format. I even had problems figuring out how to post to this forum, used to be automatic! Now you have to look for your community first.... I check in daily and if there's anything on the top page addressed to me I will answer, but if your reply has slipped to the second page I won't see it. Private messages I will see. 😃 Maybe after I've moved and everything is settled I'll take a few days to sort through everything again. In the meantime, hope everyone gets as well as they possibly can. Cheers!

FYI for when you have the time to look into things....I wasn't getting notifications for ages so decided to go to the website and discovered my email had been blocked. I entered a new password (which was actually my old one) and am now receiving the email messages on a regular basis again. Crazy!!

I hope the move goes well, Anhaga, and doesn't cause problems with your PMR. Look forward to you coming back.

Good luck with your move Anhaga and sorry you are frustrated with the format of the forum .Iam in Eire and no problems on this side .Best wishes to all .

No problems? Are you able to scroll down through all the notifications? I can't. Well, if I "mark all as read" whether I have or not, then I can go to the following pages.

Yes Anhaga can scroll through all the notifications .Dont know why its different for all of us .I have been reading about all the problems but thank goodness am not experiencing any of them .Best wishes .

Even the moderator has said this inability to see more than the first page of notifications is a problem which is being worked on by the tech folk. Can you tell them how you do it?

Apparently it depends how many unread notifications you have as well. But having just tried it (on my computer at least) it may be the same intermittent problem I have with clicking on the "Notifications" button: it works a few times, sometimes immediately, sometimes I have to click a few times, and then it stops working altogether. The first time I tried "Load more" just now it didn't work, the second or third time it did but only after heavier, more sustained pressure, not just a click.

I had this problem right from the time they made the new changes. Even if I only had a few unread posts on the first page there was no "load more" at the bottom of the page. At least I assume I'd read the posts on the next pages. Hmmm, maybe I had missed one? Anyway I started to claim I'd read them all so I could scroll down and catch anything addressed specifically to me, as I really haven't time just now to keep up with everything. But gave up even on that - when I made this post, actually. So you can imagine how far behind I am!

      Hi Linda,

Your email address was showing as blocked on our email provider server. I've removed the report so the emails should start coming through again.

      Regards,

      Alan

I sooo agree with you anhaga at this point in time. I am busy, I have a life to live, my health is deteriorating and I really dislike a couple of new changes they have made on the forum. I realise now how much moral support I get from all the lovely people on the forum so I hope they sort out a few more issues. Take care everyone.
